Central City Opera: 2012 Season
Central City is a small mountain town that has an annual summer Opera season! The season includes three main operas and multiple other events and showings. For the 2012 summer season, Puccini’s famous La Boheme; The Turn of the Screw, and Oklahoma! are the three main reasons to visit Central City. There are also Opera extras including one-act and 3—minute operas as well as workshops and lectures about the operas.
If you are a fan of Opera or want to try it for the first time, Central City is a great place to go to see the different operas and interpretations. Prices range from $38 to $99 for single tickets and can be as low as $90 to attend all three. Central City is just east on I-70 about an hour away.
