Located between Hartsel and Wilkerson pass this central location allows CHABR to conveniently service passengers from Keystone. Experience the highest altitude hot air ballooning in the country with their launch site being at 9,000 feet and only going up from there. Your balloon adventure will provide you with spectacular 100 mile panoramic mountain views; the stunning scenery may include views of the Continental Divide, Mosquito Range, Sangre De Cristo mountains, Sawatch mountains, Mt. Elbert (the highest peak in Colorado 14,433 ft), Pikes Peak, South Park Valley, Collegiate Peaks, vast rolling hills and Colorado native wildlife. The flight season for Colorado Hot Air Balloon Rides in Summit County typically runs from mid May through late September because the weather conditions and sites to see are the greatest during these times. They can accommodate up to 18 passengers per day and larger groups can be accommodated with advanced notice.

Summit County tends to have sporadic weather, as such flights may be longer or shorter than expected and your flight may need to be rescheduled due to weather and safety concerns, so book this activity for earlier in your vacation so that you can reschedule to a different day. The price is typically $240 per person and that includes fees, surcharges and taxes, but they do offer discounts for large groups and military passengers.
