Grocery Stores in Keystone Colorado

Going up to Keystone is great, but sometimes it can be hard to find a grocery store so you can cook dinner in your illustrious condo’s kitchen. There are many different grocery shops in Keystone, but some of these are small and leave you needing to go somewhere else. Well, we’re here to stop those occurrences and give you the skinny on where to go to buy your food!

City Market

City Market is a typical, Kroger supermarket and contains all the supplies you might need for cooking dinner. With a wide array of pantry, dairy, produce and meat, products to select, you should be able to find most everything you need to make any meal. The store is open every day from 6 AM to 10 PM and also has a gas station (use this to avoid the price spikers further up the mountain). City Market is the closest supermarket to the Keystone resorts. To get to the City Market take Highway 6 towards Dillon (or I-70) and follow that until you can turn right onto Dillon Dam Road and City Market will be in front of you, if you want to stop on your way to Keystone you will see the City Market on your left hand side as you are heading East on Highway 6 towards Keystone, next to the movie theater. Target

In Silverthorne Colorado there is a Target with an assortment of groceries and other supplies to fit your vacation needs. The Target is opened from 8 AM – 10 PM Monday through Saturday and open 8 AM – 9 PM on Sundays. To get to the Target, just take Highway 6 underneath the I-70 pass and follow the road onto Highway 9, Target should be on the left hand side, just a little ways further.

Safeway

There is a Safeway grocery store in Frisco Colorado, if you are planning on coming to Keystone after spending a couple of days in Breckenridge then the Safeway is going to be most convenient. This is a full store with all your grocery needs and good prices. Safeway in Frisco is located at 1008 North Summit Boulevard Frisco, CO 80443 and can be reached at 970-668-5144.

The Rockin’ Ranch Market

Located in the middle of River Run Village in the Arapahoe Lodge, you can pick up just about anything you need here, however it is very expensive, we don’t recommend buying your entire trips grocery items here but instead leave this place for the first morning’s breakfast and forgotten items from the store. They stock a small selection from frozen pizzas to a couple of pieces of fresh fruit, dairy and other grocery items.

The Gateway Grocery and Liquor Store

Located in the Gateway Lodge (same complex as many of our condos and our Main Office yay!). This little shop has a pretty decent selection but limited hours. Best of all they sell beer, wine and liquor! If you are looking for a quick snack or a beverage during the ski day, this is the place to go.

The Keystone Grocery & Gas

A modest gas station that has basic food items. Once again, great for stocking up on snacks and grabbing gas, but you would have difficulty putting together a full meal from their offerings. They have a few fresh items, snacks, and a decent frozen foods section.

Natural & Organic Foods

The Natural Grocers

Located in Frisco, Natural Grocers specializes in organic and all-natural foods. The Natural Grocers is located just off Highway 9 and is very close to the I-70 exit (and next to the Starbucks!). The property offers everything from produce to meats to everything you might need. This shop is a little smaller than the Safeway and the Target, but they do have a great selection. The Natural Grocers sells organic produce and sells many other organic and all-natural products, including meats, spices, breads, dairy, pastas, grains, and beverages. Another key note is that the natural grocers sell rare meats and games such as ostrich and elk and alternative foods such as soy and gluten-free.

Whole Foods

Located in Frisco, near the Outer Range Brewery and Rio Grande Restaurant. Whole Foods carries all sorts of organic foods, and also has a salad and food bar if you want to dine in.

These are the main groceries and food stores throughout the Keystone area and are also the closest and most accessible. If you are looking for the standard cuisine, I would recommend Target or City Market. If you need organic and all-natural stuff, I would recommend Whole Foods or Natural Grocers in Frisco and if you just need some snacks or beverages, I would say the 7-11 or Keystone Grocery and Gas.
