June 26-27th 2010 – Avon Walk Rocky Mountains

The Avon Walk is coming back to the Rocky Mountains for another fantastic year in the Rocky Mountains.  The walk consists of 39 miles of fresh mountain air, mountain views, love and joining hundreds of other walkers in bringing together a crowd of people who truly care!  The tentative schedule for the 2010 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Keystone Colorado follows:

2010 Avon Walk Rocky Mountains Opening Ceremony

June 26 2010 – Keystone Resort Colorado – Mountain House Marmot Lot

Opening ceremony is going to take place in the same place as last year.  Walkers can start to show up from 5:30 to 6Am and the ceremony will begin shortly after at 6:30 am.  Coffee, snacks, hugs and bathrooms are all complimentary at opening ceremony, if you are leaving others in your group this is a place to get together with other walkers, family and friends to begin the Walk in the Rocky Mountains for 2010.

If you are staying in Keystone Resort you will have complimentary shuttle service from River Run Condos to the opening ceremony and you are withing a quick walk to the Avon Walk ceremony from all of the Mountain House lodging as well.

2010 Avon Walk Rocky Mountains Route:

The Route for the Avon Walk Rocky Mountains 2010 will take you from Keystone Resort to Frisco Colorado and then on to Breckenridge for the Closing Ceremony.  Day one of the walk will consist of 23 plus miles, wow what a great walk!  Make sure you hydrate well starting a couple of days before you start the walk.

Avon Walk for Breast Cancer does not have an affiliation with SummitCove Vacation Lodging, however SummitCove has decided that this is just too great of a cause to not participate in.  For the 2010 Walk we are putting together a team of walkers and supporters that consist of the SummitCove staff, family and friends and we are also donating a portion of our room proceeds from this amazing weekend to help support the cause.
