These passes are available as an Internet-only purchase, so you do not need to be physically present to buy them since you can upload your picture from your home computer.

The Epic Pass is suited for people who plan on skiing 7 days or more, and perfect for people planning to visit multiple ski areas.

We all know that lift tickets are a major expense when planning your ski vacation. In recent years, Vail Resorts has been reeling in their lift ticket sales and declining new contracts for discount vendors. In 2011, they finally pulled the plug on many grocery stores in Colorado, which effectively makes Vail Resorts the only channel to obtain lift tickets. This is very unfortunate for skiers who love to ski the most popular resorts in Colorado, and it requires more investigating to get the best deals on lift tickets.

In an effort to gain more locals, Vail Resorts has been a major player in promoting early season deals such as restricted season passes, 4 packs, and other creative packages. The main catch, however has always been that they require that the person buy the season pass or 4 pack in person during a narrow gap of time each spring and each fall, before the ski season begins in Colorado. This means that anyone who is planning ski trips from out of state would have to travel to Colorado in order to obtain a season pass, and then come back during the ski season to enjoy the use of it.

The Epic Pass is different because you can buy it in a time frame that usually ranges from mid-March to early November.  The Epic Pass is unlimited and unrestricted at all Vail Resorts owned areas including Arapahoe Basin, Keystone, Breckenridge, Vail and Beaver Creek.
