Epic Perks for Military Members for 2018 - 2019 Ski Season
The Epic Pass is having it's 10 year Anniversary this year! It has been 10 years since Vail dramatically brought down the price for a season pass so more skiers could afford to enjoy access to 5 Colorado resorts: Vail, Keystone, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Arapahoe Basin. To celebrate, Vail Resorts is honoring the military. Vail Resorts has chosen to go back to its roots and recognize how the military played a part in the development of Vail Mountain. Former World War II 10th Mountain Division veteran Pete Seibert and Earl Eaton, an Army engineer and a local rancher who helped build Camp Hale (camp for the 10th Mountain Division located just west of Vail), founded Vail Ski Resort in 1962. The 10th Mountain Division members had a significant impact in developing the ski resorts in North America by their desire to share their love of the mountains with others. The Epic Pass also has expanded the ability for more skiers to be able to access and enjoy this sport.
To honor the 10th Mountain Division's legacy and to give back to all the men and women of the Armed Forces, Vail Resorts is offering 3 different Military Passes. One is for active and retired military members. These passes will only be $99 for those members and their spouses and dependent children. It gives unlimited and unrestricted skiing at 14 different resorts; Keystone, Breckenridge, Vail, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, Stowe, Wilmot, Afton Alps, Mt. Brighton and it also includes Perisher in Australia for the 2018 / 2019 ski season. If you are a veteran of the military, there is a discounted pass for $499 for the member and their spouses and dependent children. This gives unlimited unrestricted skiing at 15 different resorts, including Arapahoe Basin. The last pass is the Liberty Pass which is unlimited and unrestricted skiing at Keystone and Arapahoe Basin for just $269. In addition to the season passes, Vail resorts will donate $1 for every season pass sold to the Wounded Warriors Project.
All the military passes include Keystone Resort, located in beautiful Summit County, Colorado, one of the closest ski resorts to the Front Range and Denver International Airport. You can find a great place to stay either in River Run Village, walking distance to the gondola, shops, and restaurants, or a townhome tucked away in peaceful East Keystone.
