Keystone Science School Now Offers Winter Break Camps

Whether you live here in Summit County or are visiting for the holidays, you can now send your kids to Keystone Science School over winter break!  The camps are indeed scheduled with Summit County's School District Calendar, but coincidentally, the dates also align with many of our guests holiday vacations.  There will be both day and overnight camps available for kids ranging in ages from 5 - 17.  The camps focus on science and technology, mixed with adventure through interactive education. The are aimed at helping kids work on developing their scientific and critical thinking skills, plus having fun with their peers.   Kids Sledding on Hill in Keystone Keystone Science School came up with the winter camp idea after surveying and listening to local parents as they spoke of hardships over break in finding child care as well as keeping kids stimulated and engaged over school breaks.  This is a chance for parents to drop them off at camp for a fun time instead of trying to find child care. KSS will offer potential campers with the same model from their summer camp, but instead with winter-based activities, such as snow-science and winter hiking.  They will dig snow pits, learn about snow and snow stability.  Other activities may include cross-country skiing, sledding, campfires, snow forts, arts and crafts, archery and more.

Keystone Science School's winter camp is happening on December 27–28, 2018 and again from January 2–4, 2019. The cost is $65 per day for day camp and $85 per day for overnight camp. For more details, visit KeystoneScienceSchool.org.
