Mardi Gras Celebrations at Keystone Resort

Head to Keystone to celebrate Mardi Gras 2019 with live music and an all you can eat Gumbo Cookoff in the River Run Village Events Plaza!   On Tuesday, March 5, celebrate Mardi Gras in Keystone.  Spend the morning out on the ski slopes - wear your beads and craziest bright colored attire!  In the afternoon, head down into River Run Village where there will be a Gumbo Cookoff and live music all afternoon.   Tickets for the Gumbo Cookoff include unlimited tasting from 2:30 - 5 pm.  Some of the area's best restaurants and home chefs will be on hand serving up their take on the best gumbo, in two categories: either Seafood / Exotic or Chicken & Sausage.  Tickets for the Gumbo Cookoff are $12 for adults online in advance or $15 at the gate.  Kids tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the gate. Once you've had a chance to taste them all, you have the opportunity to submit your vote for your favorite and help to choose the People's Choice winner!  If you just want to go and check out the music or grab a drink - the music is free to attend! Taste Every Gumbo in Keystone for Mardi Gras Schedule of Events:
  • 2:30pm – 3:30pm: DJ Spinnin' Tunes

Don't have a Mardi Gras lodging reservation yet? You're in luck! Book a SummitCove Mardi Gras package: stay 2 or more nights with SummitCove Lodging, including the night of March 5 and you can take 10% off your stay and get 2 free adult tasting tickets for the Gumbo Cookoff! We recommend staying in River Run Village to be in the heart of the action... just walk back to your condo when the event is over, unless you are too full to walk! Then we recommend a wagon!
