This year’s annual Mountain Travel Symposium is slated for April 3 – 9, 2016 in Keystone, Colorado. We can’t think of a better place to hold THE annual gathering for mountain travel professionals, with representatives from over twenty countries across the globe coming together right here in Colorado to focus on their businesses, relationships, and professional goals, and work together on improving our mountain communities.
The MTS is not only an amazing opportunity for networking, it is a chance for industry representatives of the mountain community to gather together and share ideas as well as meet with supplies, vendors, and buyers from across the globe all in one location. Participants will also be able to attend workshops, general sessions, keynote speakers, get inspired, work on professional development, learn new skills, ideas and more.
Vail Resorts’ CEO, Rob Katz, will open up on the state of the industry, speaking on what it will take to keep our business and sports growing. The first day’s keynote comes from Josh Linkner, who is an entrepreneur and best selling author. Day two’s keynote speakers is Jeremy Bloom, an Olympic skier, world ski champion, former University of Colorado, Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers football player, founder of ‘Wish of a Lifetime’ and CEO of Integrate, a marketing software company. Other sessions and speakers will inspire and motivate on topics like attracting visitors in the off-seasons, third-party bookings versus direct bookings and innovation. Returning attendees will also be excited about the return of ‘MTS Talks’ and this year’s theme ‘disruption’.
In the MTS Trade Exchange, buyers and suppliers of mountain travel products are able to meet and build working business-to-business relationships as well as promote their brands. Buyers representing tour operators, wholesalers, travel agents, and more will be available for planning, appointments and contracting. Global suppliers such as tourism offices, hotels and lodging properties, major ski resorts and transportation firms will be able to select from large groups of buyers. There is also a Group Exchange which consists of decision makers from the top ski clubs and councils and other groups that are planning group ski trips. Suppliers will have opportunities to meet these groups.
Spend your free time on the slopes at Keystone Resort or exploring one of Keystone’s three mountain villages. The MTS conference will be held at the beautiful Keystone Conference Center, which is located within Lakeside Village at Keystone Resort. Stay at any of the condo buildings or lodges, such as Lakeside, Lake Shore, Montezuma, or Edgewater condos.
