The Vail Golf Club is nestled at the base of the Gore Mountain Range in the Rocky Mountains and presents golfers with a unique 18-hole, par 71 (total yardage 7024) experience at 8,200 feet elevation. Recognized by Golf Digest as a “Top 100 Resort Course,” golfers enjoy watching their balls fly 10 percent farther in Vail’s high altitude environment, while they challenge themselves on greens that follow the Gore Creek and lay adjacent to the White River National Forest. Built by one of Vail’s pioneers, Ben Krueger in 1962, Vail’s course continues to be thought of by many as one of the best courses in the Vail Valley– a must play among locals and guests alike. Vail’s mountain-style course features unique fairways, smooth putting surfaces and a scenic layout amidst the White River National Forest highlighted by views of the Gore Mountain Range. The fairways are tree-lined and generally flat, but numerous greenside and fairway bunkers, as well as beaver ponds will test a golfer’s accuracy.
