Black Mountain Lodge
The Black Mountain Lodge features smoked meats, fresh tossed salads, grilled sandwiches and their famous homemade stews. The Black Mountain Lodge is located on the mountain near the Exhibition Lift (soon to be Black Mountain Express) and after you have fueled up, you are ready to hit the slopes. The Black Mountain Lodge is located on the slopes, so you have spectacular views of the slopes. BML is most famous for their Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwiches and the “Red Bird” Smoked Half Chicken. Their Grizzly Peak Bison Stew and Sundance Spinach Salad are also two delicious entrees that they serve. The Black Mountain Lodge is open from 9 AM – 3:30 PM, with hot food available from 10 AM – 2:30 PM and is one of the most famous in Arapahoe Basin.
The Black Mountain Lodge also has a Mountain Full Moon Snowshoe Dinner Series which features awesome cuisine, a unique experience and libations and entertainment. Arapahoe Basin only entertains three of these events annually and they are generally between February through April and they are popular and they sell out fast. They have conducted such theme dinners as Dinner in the Dolomites, which featured Northern Italian cuisine and specialty Italian wines; Under a Fuji Full Moon, which features Asian specialties like sushi, dim sum, and curries with a large selection of Sake. These are truly unique and wonderful experiences and you should take part in one if you get the chance, but book early as it sells out well in advance.
The Legends Café
The Legends Café serves traditional breakfast and lunch fare in their classic A-Frame building. They serve delicious pizza, burgers, soups, chilies and stews. They also have a new Pacific Rim section with rice and noodle bowls. Some of their more popular entrees are the: 10-8 burger, Bleu Run Chicken Sandwich, Udon Noodle Bowl, Penne Pasta with Chicken, Quiche Breakfast Pizza, Caesar Salads, and Jumbo Cinnamon Rolls. In addition they do have daily specials and gluten-free options available on request. Breakfast is available from 7:30 to 10 AM, with lunch available 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with snacks and drinks available till 3:30 PM.
6th Alley Bar
6th Alley Bar is a great sports bar for a moments respite from the snow. They have a wide selection of beers, specialty drinks and even have an award winning Bloody Mary. They have some great specialty drinks such as the German Chocolate Cake, SnowBank, Irish Coffee, Crown Royal Hot Toddy, and Hot Apple Pie. All of their drinks are amazing and you can keep up with sporting events. It’s the best place to be at the end of the day.
One of the newest features at A-Basin is the Coffee Corner. The Coffee Corner serves Chai latte, Mate latte, Yerba latte, espresso, regular coffee, hot chocolate and even a few beers! The Coffee Corner also offers salads, pastries and sandwiches for lunch. Don’t forget to grab some coffee or cookies for your ride home. The Coffee Corner is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.
Snow Plume Refuge
Arapahoe Basin’s Snow Plume Refuge is for those skiers and riders who want a quick pit stop. Or maybe some skiers and riders want to cook your own food, use our outside grill for a little “bring your own, cook your own” and don’t forget to enjoy the view! The Snow Plume Refuge is open from 9 AM – 3:30 PM daily and is a great place to enjoy the mountains!
