Best Pizza in Keystone Resort Colorado!
Nothing says family vacation like huddling around a nice warm…PIZZA! Pizza 101 serves up a great pie. Everything from the crust up is just a notch above anywhere else. If you are planning on going out to eat, Pizza 101 is probably not your best option, simply because they don’t have not much seating there. There is seating for 4, and it is next to the cash register and wedged in between a window and the bar section (no alcohol). My suggestion, take out or delivery. If you are interested in a sit down pizza eatery, I will have a backup plan for you in just a minute. My favorite pizza for a slice is the meatball. It’s amazing…borderline addictive, and a great deal because that slice is huge! As far as a whole pizza goes, my co-workers and I usually debate and debate over a pizza and then get the Casper. The Casper is loaded with white sauce, spinach, artichoke hearts, roasted Garlic, fresh Tomatoes and cheeses. It is $28.00 for a large, but if you can eat more than 2 slices, well, you should be ashamed of yourself. Pizza 101 is really easy to get to from the Summit Cove front desk. Go West on HWY 6 for about .2 miles and turn left at Rasor Dr. Make an immediate left and an immediate right and Pizza 101 is on the left. For more information, check out Pizza 101 Keystone Colorado.
Another great pizza spot is Last Chance Pizza, located in SummitCove. They serve New York style, handtossed, thin crust with homemade organic pizza sauce and fresh ingredients. They have very reasonable prices and also offer free delivery to the Keystone area after 5pm. They also serve up delicious wings, garlic bread and mozzarella sticks. Some of our personal pizza favorites include the classic ‘Margherita Pizza’ and the very original ‘My Thai Pizza’ that is dressed with a sweet Thai chili sauce, marinated chicken, roasted red pepper, mushroom, and loaded with fresh cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Last Chance Pizza is located just 3 miles west of Keystone Resort, just off of Highway 6 in the Summit Cove neighborhood. When coming from our office, take an immediate left at the 3rd stoplight at Swan Mountain Road, then take the 2nd left and a quick right into the shopping complex. A nice backup plan, if your family is looking for a sit down pizza restaurant, is Pizza on the Plaza. Right in Lakeside Village, they have a much more extensive menu than just pizza, including sandwiches, salads, appetizers and soups. I like eating here because the Lakeside village is nice and peaceful and quiet. During the summer I like to grab a slice and sit on their private patio and enjoy the view of the lake. Their prices are a little cheaper than Pizza 101, and their sandwiches are great. My favorite sandwich over there is definitely the gyro. They load on the meat and the tziziki sauce is great! Sandwiches are between 8 and 10 bucks. Pizza can run anywhere from $12- as much as you want to spend. Another great aspect of Pizza on the Plaza is the full bar. They usually do a great happy hour with drink specials and $1 slices, so that makes for a nice Apres Ski atmosphere. These guys are pick up and dine-in only so don’t expect them to deliver! Also, If you are trying to get a slice quickly from Pizza on the Plaza, but you just got off the Gondola, try Pizza on the Run. This is a smaller version of Pizza on the Plaza and it is in River Run Village. I could not find a website for these guys anywhere but if you have any questions for them try calling them at 970-468-9501.
