Keystone Activities around the Holidays!

Looking for something fun to do while in Keystone during the holidays? Here's a list of entertaining and exciting special activities going on at Keystone Resort and nearby in the area. There's definitely something here for everyone to enjoy and have a great time! Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

  • Keystone Betty Fest
Betty Fest brings together women for two days of skiing and riding in a fun, non-intimidating environment. This program includes extensive on-hill training on Keystone's Ski and Ride School's trails, video analysis and discussions about nutrition, women's specific concerns and equipment.  All women's programs are taught by PSIA – certified, women instructors, including Annie Black – Colorado's Ski Instructor of the year – and each group is small and supportive.
  • K2 Pink Chase
Kick off the 2009-10 ski season with a unique global fundraiser uniting the women's ski and snowboard community, raising money for breast cancer research organizations worldwide. The Pink Chase involves all snow sports disciplines: skiing, snowboarding and telemark. The public and K2 Alliance compile teams of two-three women and attempt to record as much vertical as possible while touring the mountain for the designated check points.

Created by Keystone's renowned pastry chef Ned Archibald, this chocolate village has all the details.  With holiday trees, gifts and a train traveling throughout, you will be amazed by the power of chocolate.
  • Keystone Holiday Magic on Ice
Come see the Denver Figure Skating Club holiday show.  Enjoy hot chocolate and snacks at the Keystone Adventure Center while watching figure skating to holiday music.
  • Holiday Carolers in Lakeside Village
Strolling through the Lakeside Village & Keystone Lodge & Spa, these carolers bring the spirit of the holidays to Keystone.  Join in for a tune or two or enjoy the sounds as you skate around the Keystone Lake.
  • Santa & His Reindeer
Dress warm and bring your camera and the kids for a visit with Santa and his reindeer, Cupid.
  • Ice Carving Demonstration
Stop by the Lakeside Village throughout the day and watch the creation of a sleigh and reindeer made from blocks of ice.  It is truly amazing.
  • Keystone KIDTOPIA
Keystone KIDTOPIA—Bring your kids to a festival designed just for them. Explore the ultimate Snow Fort* at the top of Dercum Mountain, dance to live music in the plaza, make arts and crafts, go Disco Tubing and join the continuing education activities that fill this weekend on and off the slopes. Bring the whole family for a fun filled, kid friendly weekend.

  • Full Moon Snowshoe Tour 
Experience snowshoeing by moonlight! $40 includes snowshoe rental, 2-mile moonlight tour & soup buffet dinner with dessert. $35 if you have your own snowshoes. Minimum age: 13 years. Reservation required, please call 970-496-4275.   Event Dates: December 30, January 29, February 26, March 27.
  • New Year's Celebration
Ring in the New Year with Keystone Resort's torch light parade in River Run. Enjoy family fun in the Lakeside Village with fireworks at 6 &10:30. 5:30- 6:30pm Lakeside Suite VIP Fireworks viewing area, fireworks begin 6:00pm $25 per person includes first cocktail at the bar and hor d'oeuvres consisting of assorted cheeses, French bread and crackers, pretzels, chips and dips and assorted mini pastries. Cash bar after first cocktail. 5:30 – 10:00pm Ice Skating Party at Keystone Adventure Center Bring the whole family to the Keystone Ice Rink and enjoy snacks, sodas, & hot chocolate while skating with Frosty. 6:30 – 8:00pm Family Dinner Buffet at the Edgewater Café, in the Keystone Lodge & Spa. $24.95 for Adults, $12.95 for Children 5 -12 and under 5 free. Enjoy a buffet dinner for the whole family at the Keystone Lodge & Spa. Dinner price includes free skate rentals. 8:00-10:00pm Murder Mystery Dinner the ballroom at the Keystone Lodge & Spa $125 per person. Death for Dinner Mysteries are the funniest ever attended. The mystery unfolds with a crime that must be seen to be believed. The room is now full of suspects, as the clues and jokes fly fast and furious throughout dinner. The plot thickens as the Detective arrives at the scene of the crime to question everyone and try to get to the bottom of this baffling mystery. Lodging discount available at the Keystone Lodge & Spa for attendees, $199/night (based on double occupancy). 
  • Burton Super Demo Tour
The Burton Super Demo is an interactive and entertaining experience for the guests at Keystone Resort. Guests can sample and experience an array of products from brands such as Volvo, Paul Mitchell, Gore Tex, Nature Valley and Burton's brands Red and Anon. Test out Burton Snowboard's 2009/2010 product line at this Free Demo open to the public.
