All characters are welcome at the Closing Day Celebration at Keystone Resort: The 2012 Slush Cup Pond Skim Contest. Warm weather and spring skiing conditions promise to make a great closing weekend at Keystone Resort. Keystone is offering 2 for 1 discount lift tickets until the end of the season and has a great lineup of events planned to end the season with a bang! SummitCove Vacation Lodging is offering 30% Off stays for the entire month of April.
The Keystone Slush Cup is back for the 2nd year in a row, meshing spring weather with skiing and riding. Contestants dress up in a variety of fun costumes and race down the slopes, hoping to make their way across an icy pool of water at the bottom, competing to win prizes in 3 categories: Best Overall, Best Costume, and Best Crash. Winners receive 2012/2013 Season Summit Passes and other prizes. The overall winner will move on to the Slush Cup Finals, scheduled for closing weekend at Vail Resort, on April 15. Slots are still available to participate in the event for $35. Non-participants can enjoy a live DJ with food and drinks available for purchase while they cheer on skiers and snowboarders at the Mountain House Base Area. The pond skim is the final event scheduled at Keystone Resort for the 2011/2012 ski season.
