I don't know if it is the altitude that makes this the best pizza in the world or just the amazing crust but Pizza 101 is a must have when you come to Keystone! My kids think it is the best pizza sauce they have ever had! Pizza 101 brick oven fires and hand tosses their pizzas. They use fresh ingredients and their pizzas are delicious! My favorite pizza is the Fatty! It has meatballs! My husband loves their wings and he is a picky wing guy. My kids inhale the garlic cheese stixs and their favorite pizza is the Italian. They also have the amazing Casper Pizza which is a vegetarian option, but just as good! It has roasted garlic, spinach, tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and a delicious garlic sauce.
Not only is the food delicious but it is easy and convenient. I don't know about you but I don't want to cook for my family every night on vacation, especially after a long, fun day of skiing! I want to drink a glass of wine and relax and that is when I call Pizza 101. We usually pick up our pizza and eat it in the condo, as the restaurant is pretty small and always crowded. One tip is to call your pizza order in early, especially on the weekends. This pizza shop is very popular and very busy, but that's how you know it's good! They are located in the mountain house base area, near the Goat Soup and Whiskey. I also like that we can walk to pick up the pizza when we stay in a Ski Run or Liftside condo. We can also walk from Oro Grande across the highway and pick up our dinner. It's nice to not have to get in the car. If you are wanting a quick lunch, you can even walk here from the base of Mountain House and grab one of their slices, eat it there and then head back out to the ski slopes! Much more affordable than the on-mountain restaurants.
