Sledding in Keystone Resort Colorado!
If you're looking for something fun to do while you're in Keystone, you might want to try sledding or tubing! While kids love the rush of sledding down the hills as fast as they can, tubing can give older kids and adults that same "wind flying through your hair" rush they used to get when they were kids. Sledding and tubing are fun for the whole family! There are many free local sledding hills in and around Keystone, including next to the Silverthorne Recreation Center, just north of I-70 and Hwy 6, which is a very convenient location for when the kids get cold or need to use the restroom, or just need to warm up a bit before heading out for more sledding fun! There is also a small hill near the Lake Dillon Reservoir, on the left side of the road just before you see the lake when you are driving from Keystone into Dillon. The town of Breckenridge has a free sledding hill at Carter Park. Kids and adults all enjoy a short walk up the former ski slope followed by a fast ride down. Carter Park is located at the south end of High Street next to Breckenridge Elementary School. The Keystone Nordic Center is a great place to try tubing with the whole family. The Nordic Center is open daily from 9 a.m. and it is first come, first serve to rent tubes. Tubes are rented by the hour. Simply rent a tube, hop on, take the tow rope up the hill, and then come flying down the hill with the wind rushing against your face! Book a condo at Elk Run Villas and you'll be in the heart of the action, as this vacation rental is located at the Nordic Center! Adventure Point Tubing Center in Keystone also offers an amazing experience of Snow Tubing! Adventure Point is located at the top of Dercum Mountain at the Keystone Resort. Take the tow rope up the hill on your tube and then come flying down the hill and just enjoy the ride! Reservations are required. Call 970-496-4386 to book your next tubing adventure today! You can also do downhill tubing at the Frisco Adventure Park, call 970-668-2558 for more information. So, next time you're looking for something different and fun to do with the kids and whole family, try sledding or tubing in the Keystone area!
