Thanksgiving In Keystone Colorado

Look for the hot Black Friday sales at the outlet malls in Silverthorne.   Last year for Thanksgiving in Keystone we rented a four bedroom town home in the Settlers Creek neighborhood and invited the extended family. It was perfect that there was enough room for everyone to comfortably stay without feeling crowded. We cooked our Thanksgiving dinner of turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, corn casserole, cranberries, fresh rolls, sweet potatoes, and perhaps most importantly, pumpkin pie. While we indulged ourselves and enjoyed each others company we looked out at  the incredible views of the mountains.   It was amazing to wake up and find it snowing, catching the shuttle, and being able to get off the chairlift and make the first tracks of the day down the runs. Once we got tired we went back to Settlers Creek and soaked in the hot tub while it was still snowing.  The only problem was snow falling in our drinks!   Spending Thanksgiving in Keystone made it possible to spend quality time with those we don't see as often as we like, enjoy the treasures of Colorado, and make one realize just how much we have to be thankful for.
