Cancellation Policy

COVID-19 Revised Cancellation Policy

Nothing is more important to us than your safety.  To make your vacation completely worry-free from the time of booking, we have revised our cancellation policy for arrivals through October 31, 2020.  For all guests booked before October 1, 2020, and arriving from March 5th, 2020 to October 31st, 2020, we have outlined 3 options for our guests affected:

    1. Remain in your existing reservation and enjoy your vacation.

We recommend that you read the information on the CDC website and practice safe hygiene.  We will continue to offer full services during your stay.

    2. Change your stay to different dates.

If you select this option, you may make a one-time change and we will waive any applicable reservation change fee.

You will receive an equal dollar amount of future credit for funds already paid. Rates do change seasonally and there may be a difference in nightly rates with a reservation change of dates and/or property.

    3. Cancel your reservation.

You may cancel your reservation per our normal cancellation policy (see below) and we will apply any cancellation fee towards a future reservation credit.  This credit can be used for any reservation that has an arrival date prior to October 31st, 2021. You may not rebook any of the dates that were included in your original reservation. Our goal is to provide flexibility to those travelers who are unable to travel on previously reserved dates.

All Cancellation requests must be in writing.  Cancellation requests may not be submitted via phone.  You may submit a cancellation request online through our online cancellation request form.


SummitCove Standard Cancellation Policies

Lodging

  •    60 Days prior to Arrival Date – 100% of the total rental amount will be refunded, minus the 6.95% booking fee
  •    59 – 30 Days prior to Arrival Date – 50% of the total rental amount will be refunded, minus the 6.95% booking fee
  •    29 – 14 Days prior to Arrival Date – 25% of the total rental amount will be refunded, minus the 6.95% booking fee
  •    Less than 14 days prior to Arrival Date – No Refund.

Travel Insurance

SummitCove is not responsible for cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control such as closed roads, adverse weather, sickness, injury, or acts of god. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance through our partners, RED SKY Travel Insurance to protect your financial liability in case of these circumstances. You may purchase travel insurance for your lodging through SummitCove up to the date of your final payment. We are unable to add travel insurance after your final payment. The cost of Trip Insurance is not refundable 14 days after purchase. In case of trip cancellation, Trip Insurance premium is not refunded.

Changing Properties Policy 

  • No penalty on a property upgrade to a larger sleeping capacity.
  • No refunds on property downgrades to a smaller sleeping capacity proper

Changing Reservation Dates Policy

  • No penalty if reservation dates changed within 72 hours of making the reservation.
  • May only change dates if the same property is available.
  • No refund if nightly rate is during a lower rate-season.
  • No date changes within 14 days of arrival
  • If you choose to depart early from your property for any reason, there is no refund.
  • Rates are subject to change at any time. Applicable rates will apply to all date changes.

Rental Cars

Rental cars cannot be canceled inside 24 hours of arrival date.

There is a $20 fee to cancel each rental car on your reservation.
