Keystone, Colorado is home to many popular summertime festivals and the Keystone Wine and Jazz Festival has been around for almost 20 years! On July 18 and 19, 2015, head to Keystone to see what makes this one of the most unique festivals in the mountains!
The Wine and Jazz festival features over 300 different varieties of wine, from a host of different vendors and regions. Purchase a single day or weekend sampling pass and you will receive a commemorative tasting glass that lets you sample as many kinds as you’d like. Download the festival app to track your favorites and make sampling notes!
Whether you are a wine connoisseur or just enjoy going for the live music, tasting and people watching, this festival is not one to miss. Live music is free to see and feel free to bring your dancing shoes. Check out tunes from Joey Sommerville, Dotsero, Chris Standring, Will Donato, Elan Trotman, Sheryl Renee and Selina Albright. And what’s a great glass of wine without something tasty to go along with it? The festival features many great, local food vendors to create the perfect pairings for your palette.
In addition to the live music, food and wine tasting, sign up for one of the educational seminars to take your wine knowledge to the next level. Seminars will be happening throughout the weekend at Warren Station various prices, “Farm to Glass: The Basics of Sustainable, Organic & Biodynamic Winemaking,” “For the Love of Chocolate and Wine,” “Cigar and Craft Distillers Seminar,” “Prosecco and Pancakes,” and “The Blend Trend.” Purchase single event tickets or a package to attend them all for just $95.
If you are looking for a fun way to spend the weekend, look no further! The Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour is back for its 5th year here in Keystone and with every year brings more popularity and additions to this unique summer festival. Where else can you eat as much bacon as your heart desires in one of Colorado’s most beautiful settings!?
All weekend long, dance your butt off (or burn off all that bacon?) to free live music from Gypsy Moon, Rob Drabkin, Josh Blackburn , Arthur Lee Land, Hell’s Belles and Zoso – The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience. Join in on bacon themed seminars to learn about the many ways to prepare and use bacon, you can even earn a ‘Bacon Diploma!’
Get ready to try plenty of traditional bacon with the unlimited strip sampling as well as some of the more not-so-traditional ‘taste’ dishes like bacon cupcakes or bacon sushi! One tasting ticket gets you one taste- one dish from one of the many vendors at the festival, including some of Keystone’s most popular restaurants. The Bacon Bloody Mary Bar is a blast and a great to wash down your meal or try a refreshing cucumber vodka to offset your meat intake with some crisp veggie flavor!
