A Day On the Water With Adventure Paddle Tours

Our family loves being out on the water and on our last summer vacation at Keystone, we wanted to get out onto Lake Dillon.  Some family members had an interest in learning stand up paddle boarding and others were more comfortable being in kayaks.  So we called Adventure Paddle Tours and they offer both kayaks and SUPs to use during their guided tours with a shuttle pick up.  They had a number of different trips including an 'Island Tour', a 'Family Tour' and a 'Sunset Tour'! Needless to say, we booked our tours and met our guide at Lake Dillon Marina.   Adventure Paddle Tours It was a beautiful, sunny day and everyone was excited.  We got our life jackets and our guide gave us a lesson before we ventured off.  The stand-up paddle boards were thick and easier to stand on then we thought, so that was a relief.  The kayaks were in really good shape too. I really liked having a guide with us, especially with our kids.  I was able to enjoy myself more knowing there was an experienced adult with us. Our guide also knew exactly where to go and spotted so much wildlife that we would have missed.  We saw a bald eagle, several trout, foxes and deer.     We were on a 2-hour tour and with the wind on our backs we were able to see a lot of the lake in that time.  Just when everyone was starting to get tired we were at the end of our tour. I loved the shuttle that picked us up on the other side of the lake.  Because we did not have to go back to our starting point we were able to see more of Lake Dillon. We also enjoyed the shuttle ride back to the marina because as the kids said, "it was a fast boat!"     We will definitely do this again!  This was an amazing experience and built confidence in all of us.  Now when we drive by Lake Dillon my kids say, "we know every part of that lake and we want to do it again!"  Thanks Adventure Paddle Tours, we made memories of a lifetime with your company!
