Enjoy Your July 4th Weekend in Summit County!

There is no shortage of options for your 4th of July weekend in Keystone, Colorado!  There are many nearby activities and festivals throughout Summit County that you may want to take advantage of while you're in town.  We've sorted the activities for you, so all you need to do is get here!  If you are still deciding on where to stay for the holiday weekend, SummitCove is glad to help you out.

Keystone will host River Run Rocks on Saturday at 3:30pm, with a free concert featuring Five 13 and the Six Million Dollar Band.  9pm fireworks will follow the concert.  On Monday the 4th, don't forget about the KidsFest in River Run along with the Kids Fishing Derby in Lakeside Village.  This event will feature a petting zoo, train rides, caricatures, face paining and much more.  At about 9:30pm, you can catch a fireworks show at Lakeside Village displayed over Keystone Lake.

Frisco hosts the 3rd Annual Downtown Frisco Art Fair from 10am to 5pm on Main Street on Saturday and Sunday.  Founder's Day also takes lace from 10am to 4 pm at Frisco Historic Park on Saturday.  This fun-filled day will include activities for all ages, including refreshments and ice cream available for sale.  Kids will love the donkey rides, face painting, sidewalk chalk art and gold panning.  Several musical performances will also take place in the park throughout the day.  On Monday the 4th, don't miss out on the 12:30pm 4th of July Parade on Main Street.  At 7-9 pm performance from Colorado based Opie Gone Bad and 9:30 Fireworks at Frisco Bay Marina will top of the perfect day!

Dillon will host Saturday Morning Adventures; meeting at Marina Park from 10-11:30 am for a historic tour.  In the evening, the amphitheater will play host to "Never Forget Our Soldiers: An Evening of Tribute" featuring the United States Air Force Academy Band and Randall McKinnon.  Monday morning, be sure to catch the National Repertory Orchestra at Dillon Amphitheatre to start of your holiday.  Come early to snag a seat.  At noon, you can catch a children's bike parade at the town park, and enter or watch the apple pie or watermelon eating contests or work on crafts with your children.  The 3 pm boat parade takes place on Lake Dillon where you can cheer on decorated boats.  Catch a 7 pm USO Show and step back in time to an era of swing music reminiscent of the WWII era.   End your evening by catching the Frisco Bay fireworks display.

Breckenridge is hosting a 10K Trail run on Monday, the 4th at 7am.  This scenic trail running race offers some incredible views and ends in time to catch the many holiday activities in the area.  Click here for registration information.
