It's Official! The Colorado Ski Season Opens This Weekend!

Welcome to the 2011/2012 ski season!

Colorado's first ski resort opening begins when Wolf Creek Ski Area opens on Saturday!  The first official opening is two weeks earlier than it was last year.  Wolf Creek ski area is located near Pagosa Springs, CO on U.S. 160.  The ski area will run three lifts Saturday and Sunday, charging $33 for a lift ticket.

The opening follows on the heels of an early winter storm that dumped heavy snow on some mountain areas of the state.  SummitCove is still running the When Will it Snow Contest!? as we wait for Keystone's first measurable snowstorm.  The first dusting came just last night, which is great news for the planned opening on November 4th!

If you are ready to get started on planning that ski vacation, contact SummitCove.  We're happy to help you find the perfect lodging for your Colorado ski or snowboard vacation!
