[caption id="attachment_11085" align="aligncenter" width="714" caption="Kids Panning for Gold at Keystone Resort"][/caption] Keystone Resort is full of fun, family-friendly activities year- round.  This summer, several programs have continued that are perfect for keeping younger kids busy during your Rocky Mountain Vacation; from Kid's Discovery Days to storytelling in River Run Village.  There is still plenty of time to plan a summer vacation to Keystone with your family.  Be sure to take a look at our current summer specials to find the best fit for you! Kid's Discovery Days takes place on Tuesdays in River Run Village.  With a new entertainer each week, a bounce house, and 2 face painters or balloon artists, the kids can stay busy.  Lines close at 12:30 am, and performers are on stage from 11am to 11:45am.  The final date for Kid's Discovery Days for 2012 is scheduled for  August 14th. Storytelling with Redtail the Mountain Man and Bambi the Donkey will take place on Wednesdays through August 8th.  This free activity includes storytelling and free face painting that the kids are sure to love. Friday performances of Kidtopia Kid's Theatre will showcase the Lake Dillon Theater sponsored show "The Prince" at the Quaking Aspen Amphitheater.  The remaining summer dates are July 20th and  27th, and August 3rd and 10th.  Tickets are only $5 for adults and children, and with two shows to choose from (10:30 am and noon), there is plenty of time to plan your day. Kidtopia KidsFest is set to take over River Run Village on July 28th, and August 11th.  Bring your family for free fun including a petting zoo, train rides, caricatures, face painting, balloon artists, crafts, spring art, a kids show, bounce house and a DJ.  All entertainment takes place in the River Run Events Plaza from 11am to 3pm.  The featured Kid's Show entertainer will perform on the stage at noon, 1:30pm, and 2:30pm. For young anglers, you may want to plan to attend the final Kid's Fishing Derby of the season.  This event is for children 12 and under on July 28th.  Registration begins at 9am, and the event starts at 10am.  The entire family can cheer and enjoy a morning on the lake.  Raffle prizes, BBQ, and live music will follow the event.  Be sure to bring your own fishing gear and tackle since this is not supplied for you! You may also want to top off your perfect day in Keystone at the miniature golf course in River Run.  It is just $8 per person for the entire day (you can come and go), and open from 8am to 5:30 pm.  You might also want to consider renting a paddle boat on Keystone Lake.  There are plenty of activities to consider when planning your Keystone vacation!
