Spring Events at Arapahoe Basin

Although Keystone Resort has already wrapped up their 2013 - 2014 ski season, Arapahoe Basin remains open indefinitely, as long as there is still snow to ski on! The resort has previously stayed open as late as July 4th, depending on the snow pack.  With a current base of base of 74 inches and snow in the forecast, we expect the conditions to remain good for awhile to come.  Arapahoe Basin is known for their steep skiing and loyal local crowds, but is probably most well-known for the its famous 'Beach' area- the strip of the parking lot that backs up to the base of the mountain.  Skiers and snowboarders camp out here with barbecue grills, lawn chairs, coolers and good spirits, enjoying the snow and sunshine in between runs.  Spring is the perfect time to enjoy the Beach!

May 3rd kicks off the first session of the 'Shakin' at the Basin' Concert Series at Arapahoe Basin.  Every Saturday in May features a different band, playing live music in the base area from 1 - 4pm.  The concerts are free of charge, family friendly, and a great way to spend a Spring Saturday in the mountains! The Summit Stage offers free transportation directly from Keystone and other areas in Summit County, great for anyone looking for a safe ride home after enjoying a cold beer in the Colorado sunshine!
