Summit County Wedding Venue Highlight: Silverthorne Pavilion

When looking for a wedding in the high country, it is important to remember we do sometimes get afternoon showers. We love the Silverthorne Pavilion, partly because of its serenity and views and partly because of its flexibilty, offering guests both indoor and outdoor spaces in the event of inclement weather. When you rent the Pavilion, the entire facility and grounds are included in your site fee. There are two outdoor ceremony sites: The Riverside Site & The North Lawn. The Riverside ceremony site sits on the banks of the Blue River, and is surrounded by aspen trees and Columbine flowers. This space comfortably seats about 125 guests. The North Lawn is one of the only groomed pieces of flat grass in Summit County, Meticulously maintained during summer months, it is ideal for wedding parties with more than 125 guests. Buffalo Mountain and the Blue River make the perfect backdrop for photos!

Indoors you have three options: The Main Hall, The Lobby, and The Breakout Room. The Main Hall features timber-and-iron construction, 22 skylights and boasts 8,600 square feet, a permanent stage and a mezzanine surrounding it, comfortably seating 172 with room for a dance floor and buffet. With creative seating – that number can climb to 200. A giant, remote-operated screen accommodates PowerPoint presentations for slide shows of the bride and groom. In the Lobby, two panels of glass doors accordion open, giving your guests a seamless way to enjoy the patio and the outdoors. This feature is particularly alluring to events that occur during inclement weather – guests can still enjoy the outdoors while staying warm and dry. The lobby mezzanine is ideal for smaller wedding parties (up to 80 guests), and business brunches. An elevator ensures all of your guests can be transported to the mezzanine level with comfort and ease. Adjacent to the lobby and with a private outdoor entrance, the Breakout Room comfortably seats 50, it is perhaps the most versatile of all the rooms, as it has been used as a bridal suite, a children's play room, coat check and for silent auctions.
