Keystone brings the wonders of Appalachia to the Rockies with the Bluegrass and Beer Festival, back for it’s 16th year at Keystone Resort. This is hands down the most popular summer festival in Keystone and it draws visitors from far and wide, year after year. Nothing beats the down-home cooking, frothy flavors, mountain music and spectacular views- not to mention its the perfect escape from the hot summer heat. Festival goers are in for a treat, enjoying live bluegrass music all weekend along with sampling delicious beers from over 30 microbreweries from Colorado and beyond as they showcase their unique blends of hops and barleys. Live music rocks out on 3 stages. Confirmed 2012 music line-up includes Head for the Hills, Oakhurst, the Farewell Drifters, Darrell Scott, Tim O’Brien, Casey Driessen, Haunted Wind Chimes, Henhouse Prowlers, Dead Winter Carpenters, Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen, Town Mountain, Jeff Scroggins & Colorado, the Grinz and more. There are also some after-party events scheduled at Warren Station on both Friday and Saturday nights. Oakhurst and the Farewell Drifters play from 9 – 11:30 pm on Friday evening, tickets are just $7 in advance or $10 at the door. Saturday evening features a show with Tim O’Brien and Casey Driessen, playing from 8:30 – 11 pm. Tickets are $14 in advance or $17 at the door.

Back for another year, the Summit of Bluegrass and Brews will return to Marina Park in Dillon, Colorado on June 23, 2012 with over 25 Colorado breweries. During the beer tasting event from 1:00-5:00, visitors can enjoy live music by Marty Jones and the Great Unknowns. Tickets to the unlimited beer tasting cost only $30 and benefit the Colorado Brewers’ Guild and the Dillon Business Association. Food vendors will be on site with lots of tasty options.
Following the beer tasting, move down to the Lake Dillon Amphitheatre for a great, FREE concert with the David Grisman Bluegrass Experience! David Grisman has played with Jerry Garcia, Peter Rowan, Bonnie Raitt, Doc Watson, and other renowned artists. His music is a mix of bluegrass, folk, jazz, and international sounds – this is definitely a show you don’t want to miss!
