Keystone Wine & Jazz Festival is Coming Up This Weekend!

Sip and taste until your heart and taste buds are content at the 2018 Keystone Wine and Jazz Festival, happening this weekend on July 14 & 15! Purchase a lodging and ticket festival package to save up to 15% on the weekend.  Hurry though, packages are only on sale through 2 pm on Friday!

Wine and Jazz Festival Keystone Resort

Attendants of this long-running classic Colorado festival can taste over 300 varieties of wine.  There will be reds, whites and even bubbly versions available for tasting all day long with the purchase of a one-day or weekend glass pass for the Grand Tasting event in River Run Village.

 

The weekend kicks off on Friday night with the Warren Station Reserve Wine Tasting, with tasting from 7 – 9 and music going until 10 pm.  You’ll enjoy rare and hard to find glasses at this event.  Wine specialists will be on hand to help guide you through the evening, tasting as you enjoy appetizers, music and a raffle, with prizes awarded every 30 minutes. On Saturday, head to the main event which runs from 12 – 5, with wine tasting and food vendors starting at 1.  Saturday’s lineup includes Gregory Goodloe, Will Donato, Tony Exum Jr., and the Althea Rene Band. Additional tickets are available to attend wine seminars.  On Saturday try ‘Sniffing and Swirling – the Nose Knows’ from 12:30 – 1:30, ‘Bubbles of the World’ from 3 – 4, and finally ‘Let’s Talk Tequila – shaken, stirred and straight’ happening from 4 – 5 pm. Keystone’s world class restaurants will also be providing amazing dishes throughout the village.  On Sunday, get up early for some breakfast and bubbly at the revered ‘Prosecco and Pancakes’ seminar from 10:30 – 12 pm. Enjoy music from JJ Sansaverino, Will Donato, Jeff Kashiwa Band, and festival favorite Dotsero! In the afternoon check out ‘Off the Beaten Path’ where you will explore lesser known regions and grape varietals.

 

This is a family friendly event and there is a Kidszone area open from 1 – 5 pm on both days of the event.  Kids can have their faces painted, have fun with balloon animals, do arts and crafts and more.

Winter Wine Tasting at Keystone Resort, February 17

Wine in the Pines at Keystone Resort 2015

This year marks Wine in the Pines’ 32nd annual fundraising event, featuring international wine and gourmet food tastings at the Keystone Conference Center on October 24th, from 6 – 10pm. In addition to a variety of exceptional food and beverages available, the evening will be filled with live music and entertainment for you to dance the night away, along with silent and live auctions. You’ll love the live music from the 17th Avenue Allstars as they perform A Cappella and Doo-Wop favorites from the past. Our favorite part of the night? The incredible desserts from the dessert table!  The event is black tie formal; tickets for the evening start at $130 per person and can be purchased online or at Dillon Ridge Liquors.

Make a weekend of it by attending the Winemaker’s Dinner at Keystone Ranch on Friday, October 23rd at 6pm! By purchasing the Patron Package, you will be treated to a 5 course meal complemented by hand selected wine pairings. The theme of the night is Diamonds and Denim; weekend tickets are $375 per person and include the dinner Friday night, as well as reserved seating at Saturday night’s event! Ability Connection Colorado (ACCO) will be hosting the event along with Dillon Ridge Liquors and other local sponsors. ACCO is a non-profit organization that aims to support people with disabilities, and their families, throughout their life with educational and job assistance programs.

All proceeds and contributions from Wine in the Pines will directly support the Kelly Smith Employment Center, a program aimed to assist individuals with disabilities in finding employment, and receiving appropriate training to aid in their professional pursuits. Surprise Your Valentine with Tickets to Winter Wine Weekend at Keystone Resort

If you are looking for a unique way to celebrate with your Valentine this weekend in Keystone, how about planning a fun surprise with tickets to the Winter Wine Weekend?

Saturday, February 14, is the main event, an evening of great wine, food tastings, and live music at Keystone’s Warren Station in River Run Village.  The wine focus is on bold fireplace reds as well as flavorful sparkling whites. Enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres, cheeses and breads while you sip away the night, with unlimited tastings of various wines.  Top wine specialists will be on-hand, guiding you through the flavors and helping develop your palate. Whiskey flights and wine-infused cocktails will also be available for tasting in addition to the wine. Live jazz music from the “Linda Theus Lee Trio” will top off the night featuring sultry vocals, a smooth sounding saxophone and tempo-kicking guitar.  Must be 21 years or older to attend this event.

The fun doesn’t stop on Saturday- Sunday morning features a breakfast spread of Pancakes and Prosecco!  Sit down for a lovely Sunday brunch paired with yummy Prosecco cocktails with a variety of fun pancakes and sides, as well as a complimentary mimosa when you walk in the door.  The drinks are unlimited and include 4 pancake stations. Children’s tickets will be available for Sunday Brunch, paired complimentary orange juice instead of the alcohol for $15 per child.

31st Annual Wine in the Pines this Weekend at Keystone Resort

If you love to support a good cause and are looking for a chance to dress up in the high country, don’t miss this weekend’s 31st annual Wine in the Pines event at Keystone Resort.

The event boasts over 500 wines available for tasting and an amazing array of food provided by some of the best Keystone restaurants, including, but not limited to, Keystone Ranch, Alpenglow Stube, Ski Tip Lodge, and the Der Fondue Chessel!  Ned Archibald, Keystone’s executive pastry chef, comes up with new chocolate creation each year. No sweet tooth will be left unsatisfied, as the chef uses on average 650 lbs of chocolate to make up the dessert table at the event!   His creativity and creations are said to be one of the main highlights of the event each year.

The weekend kicks off on Friday evening, October 17, with the “Roth Winery Winemaker’s Dinner” at Keystone Ranch at 6pm. Please make your reservations early, as there is limited seating. This event pairs a wonderful 5 course meal prepared by Keystone Ranch chef Steve Vlass with Roth Winery wines. The theme of the night is Denim and Diamonds and the dress code is “dressy denim only.”  This event can be reserved by contacting Terri Armstrong at 303-691-9339.

The main event starts at 6 pm on Saturday, October 18, 2014.  This year’s theme is Cirque du Vino, with entertainment provided by Imagination Circus Arts, a group who specializes in aerial acrobatics. Let your jaw drop as the performers defy gravity and show off their amazing skills!   Jazz ‘Diva’ Tina Navarro will also be performing on the main stage. 

The evening will feature both live and silent auctions that benefit the Kelly Smith Employment Center & Ability Connection Colorado, a Denver based organization that provides services for people with disabilities.  The Wine in the Pines event began 31 years ago when the event founders, Mike and Margaret Smith chose to “pay it forward”  and help people with disabilities all of kinds find meaningful employment. 

Tickets for this black-tie formal event can be purchased at www.wineinthepines.org. Advanced tickets are going for $125/person (open seating) or can be purchased at Dillon Ridge Liquors.  Assigned, advanced seating is  $225/person or there is the option to reserve a whole table for 10 people for $2,250.  To book a whole table reservation, call Terri Armstrong at 303-691-9339. Same-day tickets at the door with open seating will go for $150/person. 

Please don’t drink and drive!  Colorado Mountain Express will be running complimentary shuttles throughout the event and urge people to take advantage of this free shuttle service, rather than driving.
