Tubbs Romp to Stomp in Frisco, CO 2013

The Tubbs Romp to Stomp out Breast Cancer consists of a 3k or 5k snowshoe walk or a 3k snowshoe race, taking place in Frisco, Colorado.  The event series continues to grow larger every year and its now  the largest snowshoe series in the world, with over 15,000 participating in the past 11 years.  Come and participate or just cheer the racers on, wear pink and enjoy live entertainment, FREE breakfast, and a weekend full of fun events, all going towards a great cause.

The Pink Party will boast light appetizers from local restaurants, a free drink for Romp Participants, and fantastic trunk sales to help deck you out for the Romp.  A good time will be had by all, the event will be held at the Holiday Inn in Frisco.

7:30am-9:15amRegistration & Check-in Opensat Peninsula Recreation Area building (the PRA), which is next to the Nordic Center. There is NO PARKING OR CHECK IN at the high school; Please allow at least 45 minutes to park, catch bus to the PRA/Nordic Center, and check in. All participants must be ready at the start line 5 mins before start times.

All RACE participants must check in at the Peninsula Recreation Area building by 8:40am
All WALK participants must be checked in by 9:10am

After the Romp, enjoy the wonderful restaurants and shops in Frisco and the Outlets at Silverthorne or head back to Keystone for a nice soak in your condo’s hot tub!

Sunday, March 3rd
Enjoy a special Romp ski day at Loveland on March 3rd. Day passes will be $50 (usually $61) with $10 going back to Komen. Participants MUST bring their Romp bib with them to qualify for the special rate.

Frisco Adventure Park and Nordic Center for Tubing, Nordic Skiing and More!

The Frisco Adventure Park Tubing Hill is expected to open for Thanksgiving weekend, and some big things are already in the works!  The new adventure park is located just minutes away from Keystone Resort, and will be a great addition to the winter activities available in Summit County. 

The Summit Daily News has reported that the Town of Frisco has spoken with the Copper Mountain Ski and Ride School about offering beginner ski lessons at the Adventure Park.  The soonest that the partnership would begin is February 2012, once the details have been ironed out.  Once the finishing touches have been decided, SummitCove will keep you posted on the details!

The tubing park offers both a tubing hill and a ski and ride slope and terrain park.  The Frisco Nordic Center offers miles of Nordic skiing and snowshoe trails, as well as a new dinner and sleigh ride experience from Two Below Zero Sleigh Rides.
