Shannon Whitworth
Instructional Seminar w/ Shannon Whitworth, 11am – 12pm
Smoky, elegant, a bit husky, patient at all the right moments and equally adept at the phrasing of a jazz chanteuse; it’s no wonder Shannon Whitworth’s garnered comparisons to singers from Patsy Cline to Billie Holiday, as well as contemporaries like Neko Case.

Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, 9pm – 10:30pm
Multiple Grammy Winner and perennial Telluride headliner, Rowan is one of the most important singer-songwriters in Bluegrass. Starting out as a member of bluegrass founder Bill Monroe’s Bluegrass Boys, Rowan went on to form and lead Old & In The Way with Jerry Garcia, David Grisman and Vassar Clements, arguably the most influential group of modern day bluegrassers.

Loose Cannon, 12:30p – 2:25pm
Denver-based Loose Cannon Bluegrass feels equally at home with original songs or traditional bluegrass, soft ballads or up-tempo selections, sweet bluegrass harmonies or instrumental barn-burners.

Steel Pennies, 3:05pm-3:55pm – 5:05pm Steel Pennies plays a mix of traditional bluegrass and original music and is always looking for a new and interesting music to add to their repertoire. The band took its name from the 1943 steel penny, produced by the U.S. Mint to save copper during the Second World War.

The Farewell Drifters, 3pm-3:55pm / 4:05pm-5pm
Since its formation a few years ago, this Nashville-based band has burst on to the acoustic scene at high-profile festivals like Grey Fox and MerleFest.
