Night skiing at Keystone Ski Resort has been open since Thanksgiving. Keystone Resort is one of the only resorts in Colorado to offer night skiing, meaning you get the most value for your lift tickets with some ski days lifts being open for almost 12 hours! Night skiing is open on a varying schedule, typically Wednesday – Sunday nights through March and then every night March 7 – April 1st. Night skiing is also open every night until 8pm over the holidays, today through January 7, 2018.
If you haven’t ever gone night skiing, it is alot of fun! Bright lights run along the sides of the open runs and light the way. We recommend wearing a yellow highlight goggle lens and dressing warm in layers. Typically there are fewer people out on the mountain, so you’ll often feel like you have the whole mountain or run to yourself!
Head out for night skiing on Saturday evenings for a prime view of the weekly Kidtopia fireworks, which are launched from mid-mountain. This will be a one-of-a-kind experience that you’ll never forget! After night skiing, warm up with a hot chocolate near the firepit in River Run Village or stop into one of the amazing restaurants for a hot dinner!
Keystone Resort is unique in so many ways, with its night skiing, tubing hill, Kidtopia events, ice skating and more. You and your family will have an amazing and memorable vacation at Keystone Resort! Book your Keystone Lodging with SummitCove today at www.SummitCove.com.
We’ve had some much cooler temperatures this week, along with 11 inches of fresh snow! This means new terrain opening! Tomorrow, Wednesday November 22, Keystone will be open top to bottom, with advanced skiing and snowboarding access to the bottom of River Run. On Friday, the resort plans to open the Mountain House Base Area as well, giving beginners access top to bottom and more lift options all around. New terrain that is on schedule to open this week include Jaybird to Lower Schoolmarm, River Run and The Edge.
Night skiing is scheduled to open tomorrow as well, for advanced skiing and night skiing for beginners on Friday! Keystone Resort is one of the few resorts in Colorado to offer night skiing, giving you the most bang for your lift ticket buck! The resort will continue to open at 9 am through mid-December, when then the hours will extend and the mountain will start opening 30 minutes earlier at 8:30 am.
Most of the mountain activities will be open starting Wednesday as well including tubing at Adventure Point, Sleigh Rides and Ice Skating at Dercum Square. Your favorite dining options will be ready to enjoy tomorrow as well at Alpenglow Stube, Der Fondue Chessel, Ski Tip Lodge and Keystone Ranch. Other dining options in Keystone that are already open include Zuma Roadhouse, Snake River Saloon, New Moon Cafe, Kickapoo Tavern and Dos Locos.
Thanksgiving Weekend at Keystone offers all sorts of family fun events and activities. Be sure to checkout the Welcome Winter Family Carnival on Saturday featuring live music from Coral Creek at Warren Station with drink specials and tons of free activities for the kids. Afterwards, head into the heart of River Run to meet Santa, see the Carolers and watch as the grand tree and village lights light up the night!
One of our favorite things about Keystone Resort is Night Skiing! Keystone offers visitors with one of Colorado’s longest ski days- you can ski or ride long after nearly all the other mountains close. Your lift ticket is good all day and into the night! Watch the sun set over the beautiful Rocky Mountains while enjoying a few more runs. The serenity of the mountain at night is a completely different unique experience than what you get during the day. Check out the schedule below for night skiing hours and dates and be sure to try it at least once during your visit to Keystone!
