The lobby in the Springs condos at River Run Village is getting updated in an artsy way! Local artists are involved in transforming the lobby into the new hot spot to enjoy in this property. The Springs 8818 is an ideal spot for swimming with the pool area located on a path directly from your patio! You’ll also have easy access to the common area grill and fire pits for a summer barbecue pool party. Grab your s’more sticks–they are next to the fireplace–and treat yourself to a sweet treat or roasted hot dogs!

Kids will love the indoor playroom and the outdoor pool and slide; and adults can relax in the outdoor hot tubs. The whole family can soak up the sun or grab some shade under the gazebo and enjoy the fresh mountain air. If you like, you can head inside to enjoy the media room. Do You Need 4-Wheel Drive in Keystone?

Do you need 4 wheel drive to get to Keystone Ski Resort?

A question we are often asked is “will I need to rent a four-wheel drive vehicle in order to get to keystone?”. The answer is a resounding “not at all”. Keystone is renowned as being the most easily accessible ski resort to get to from Denver and earned this reputation for several reasons.

 

The first is convenience. The majority of the short drive from Denver to Keystone is along the major I-70. This route is a very scenic drive that brings you into the Colorado Rockies, meanwhile passing through some of the old Colorado mining towns from the start of the gold rush. The drive ends shortly after passing through the continental divide via the Eisenhower Tunnel, the longest mountain tunnel in the US and the highest point of the Interstate Highway system. Once you are through the tunnel, the Dillon/Silverthorne exit is a short 10 minutes away.  Sometimes the road can get slick or snowy and we do recommend checking the ‘CO-Trip’ App if conditions are bad, as it will tell you estimated travel times and any current road closures.

 

Once you take the Dillon/Silverthorne exit, Keystone is a mere 10 minutes away on Highway 6, a four lane highway that is incredibly well maintained. Any night there is snow fall or accumulation on the roads, Summit County begins operating snow plows that run the entire night, or for as long as is needed depending on the snow. Keystone maintains and clears its own roads, parking lots, and even sidewalks daily. Summit Cove Lodging offers rentals at Lone Eagle and The Timbers, both of which are located along a heated road if conditions are still a concern for you. Also, much of River Run has underground heated garages, making parking a breeze and it’s nice to not have to scrape off ice in the morning!

 

If you are worried about driving in the mountains, another option to consider is booking an airport shuttle.  These shuttles do the driving for you and will drive you to our check-in office and then right to your vacation rental doorstep.  We recommend staying in River Run or somewhere on the Keystone Resort Free Shuttle route if you are going to be without a car.  All SummitCove Lodging guests receive discounted airport shuttles through Summit Express and Fresh Tracks.

River Run Condos in Keystone Resort – Where are the 4 bedroom condos?

Finding the perfect condo in River Run Village can seem like quite the task, after all you have several buildings to choose from, multiple floor plans, amenities, what floor do you want, how many bedrooms, tv’s, where do you start?  River Run Village has multiple options for a reason, that reason is to make sure that the perfect accommodations are available to you as our guest.  You can find all of the River Run Condos with SummitCove.  River Run condos are going to very in size from studio condos up to your 4 bedroom condos, however there will be a majority of 1 and 2 bedroom condos with minimal 3 and 4 bedroom condos in River Run Village.

When they started to develop River Run Village as a base area at Keystone Resort they sat down and determined that they could charge more money per condominium building to individual owners and also split the costs of Home Owners Association dues across more property owners in River Run if they have more.  So as a result the majority of the River Run Condos are going to be 1 bedroom condos.  The standard 1 bedroom 1 bath condo in River Run Village is set up for sleeping of 4, usually 2 in the Queen or King bed in the bedroom and then 2 additional on a sofa sleeper in the living room.  Some owners of River Run Condos have opted to increase the sleeping capacity with the addition of a murphy bed or with a futon sleeper or additional bed in the bedroom.

Some of the River Run Condos have much larger floor plans than others and it is always important to look at the River Run Condo you are considering for your vacation to Keystone and consider what your plans are for the time you are in the Resort.  If you are planning on being out on the slopes and out on the town for everything except for quick meals and sleeping than it probably doesn’t really matter.  However if you are planning on having a loved one in the condo for an extended period of time you might want to look at some of the River Run Condos that have great views, fireplaces, and a large and comfortable living area.

All in all we believe that the experience you will recieve while staying in any of our River Run Condos will leave you coming back for more.
