Keller Williams and His Compadres Are Playing at Keystone’s Warren Station! 

Keller Williams and his Compadres are playing at Keystone’s Warren Station!  They will be here for a two night run on Friday, December 13th and Saturday, December 14th.  Time to get your jam on, Keller Williams and His Compadres are arguably some of the best musicians you will experience all year.  Your best bet is to go both nights as each show has a completely different sound. Friday night it will be K-Dub on lead, Keith Mosely from String Cheese Incident and Jeff Sipe on drums!  “We play loud hard rocking music that is fused with elements of jazz, blues, reggae, and disco.” Saturday night will be a whole different vibe. Rhythm and blues paired with a funky sound.  Get ready to shake it, ‘More Than a Little featuring Mike Dillon’ is in the house on Saturday. In Keller’s 8th return to Keystone, this show sells out every year.

Tickets for individual nights are $30 in advance and $35 at the door (if still available).  Two day tickets are $55 in advance and $60 at the door. Get a taste of Whiskey & Winter at Distilled Speaker & Spirits

Head to Keystone next weekend for one of our favorite winter events! Distilled spirits & speaker series presents: Backcountry & Bourbon at Warren Station on Saturday, January 12.  Enjoy a fun and informative evening with small batch bourbon tasting and learning about avalanche safety with the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC).

 

Aaron Parmet, a CAIC Backcountry Expert will be giving a talk that is themed around Human Factors and decision making in the back country.  Joe Larson from Keystone Ski Patrol has had 10 years of experience with Keystone Ski Patrol, as well as in New Zealand and Minnesota in the past.  Larson is a Colorado Avalanche Deployment certified dog handler and avalanche technician, an avalanche route leader and is Avalanche 2 certified. There will also be a Protect Our Winters Athlete joining in the evening as well, speaking on how climate change is influencing the mountains and steps we can take against it!

 

In addition to improving your snow safety knowledge, you can learn all about whiskey from a Jim Beam whiskey expert! You’ll get to sample a series of small batch bourbon and learn about its history and aging processes.

 

All tickets are $20 and include 4 bourbon samples, presentation and a raffle ticket.  Doors open at 6:30 pm and the event begins officially at 7 pm. All attendees must be 21 years or older. Keller Williams is Back at Keystone on December 21 & 22

Keller Williams and his compadres are back in Keystone this December for the 7th year in a row!  On December 21 and 22, 2018, Keller will be rocking the house with various friends for two completely unique nights of music.

On Friday night, Keller will get down with ‘The Andys’, aka Andy Thorn from Leftover Salmon, Andy Hall from the Infamous Stringdusters, and Andy Falco, also from the Infamous Stringdusters.

 

Saturday night will strike up a completely different tune, as Keller will be collaborating with friends “Two Jeremys and an Eddie.” Jeremy Salken from Big Gigantic, Jeremy Garrett from the Infamous Stringdusters, and Eddie Roberts from the New Mastersounds.

 

Keller Williams is known for his engaging live performances using ‘looping’ techniques, where he builds upon previous measures, sounding like a band with layers of sounds, but actually created by himself, solo.

 

On both nights, the doors open and 8pm and music is scheduled to begin at 9pm.  Tickets are $30 per night in advance online, or $55 for both nights when you purchase in advance.  This event sells out every year, so be sure to get your tickets soon!  Want to walk to the event?  Stay in River Run Village to be close to the venue.  Jack Pine Lodge, Silver Mill Condos, The Springs and Black Bear are all very close to Warren Station.

Catch Comedy Night at Warren Station on July 19

Warren Station has partnered with Comedy Works out of Denver to bring 3 unique nights of live comedy to Keystone this summer, with two upcoming shows on July 19 and August 23rd.  The upcoming July show features headliner Janae Burris with opener Zac Maas.  Janae is a comedian, writer and actor who has performed in dozens of plays and was a member of the critically acclaimed ‘City Garage Theater.’  She has been a major player in the Improv comedy scene, both performing and teaching improv and stand-up for close to a decade.  Most recently she has been performing as a regular at Comedy Works in Denver and will be debuting in Portland at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival.

 

Opener Zac Maas is also a Comedy Works regular, as a 3x New Faces Finalist.  He has toured nationally with big names like Mike Birbiglia, Christopher Titus, Dana Gould and Kylee Kinane.  Zac has performed at numerous Comedy Festivals, suc as Bridgetown, High Plains, Cape Fear and Snub Fest.  He also hosts a podcast called ‘Whiskey and Cigarettes’ which won Denver Westword’s people’s choice award for best podcast 3 years in a row!

Distilled Spirits and Speaker Series – “Backcountry and Bourbon” in Keystone

This Saturday night at Keystone’s Warren Station in River Run is the Distilled Spirits and Speaker Series Event, ‘Backcountry and Bourbon’. This series brings together educational topics related to the mountain community with spirits tastings! This weekend’s event brings in Jason Konigsberg from the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC) to talk about backcountry safety and travel, along with avalanche awareness. Whiskey expert Chris Galante from Jim Beam, will also be presenting on small batch bourbons including: Basil Hayden, Jim Beam Black, Makers Mark 46, and Knob Creek Rye.  Additionally, the Keystone Ski Patrol will be giving a short talk on their avalanche dog program.

PINKALICIOUS THE MUSICAL This Weekend At Warren Station in Keystone, CO

Want a fun mother-daughter date, father-daughter date or just a fun family night activity while you are visiting Keystone this weekend? Check out Pinkalicious The Musical in Keystone on Saturday. The musical is based on the books with a fun character named Pinkalicious,  who love cupcakes, dress up, playing princess, and all things pink. Pinkalicious can’t stop eating pink cupcakes despite all of the warnings from her parents. Her over-the top passion for pink lands her at the doctor’s office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe – which is actually a dream come true for this pink loving girl! But when her new hue gets out of control, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this predicament.

The Musical will be happening at Warren Station on Saturday, January 20th. There are two shows available, with a matinee starting at 2:30pm and the second evening show starting at 6:30pm. Big Name Bands at Keystone Resort this Ski Season

Keystone’s Warren Station in River Run hosts all sorts of events and concerts throughout the year, and this ski season is no exception.  There are already quite a few big name bands on the books for the 2017 / 2018, meaning it’s going to be a good year for live music in the mountains!

 

First up is Keller Williams and his compadres, playing a two night set on December 15 and 16.  Keller is back at Keystone for his 6th year in a row!  This event features two very different evenings, with Friday night a Bluegrass focused set and Saturday electric.  Keller brings to stage each night a solo set, followed by a group set with ‘compadres’ – friends from other bands including Elephant Revival, Leftover Salmon, String Cheese Incident and Grant Farm.  Keller is known for his amazing improv performances and looping tracks. Advance tickets are $30 for one night or get both nights for $55, you can purchase Keller Williams tickets here.  The shows end at 11:30 each night, but the music doesn’t have to stop! Head over to the Goat Soup and Whiskey for more live music from another Colorado based band, The Magic Beans, playing the same evenings.

 

Just a couple weeks later, Colorado Bluegrass band, Trout Steak Revival takes the stage for a New Year’s Eve throwdown, again returning after previous years at Warren Station. This 5 player string band has been named with multiple awards and nominations, including an Emmy for their work on a PBS soundtrack.  New Year’s Eve in Keystone is a ton of fun, with skiing, ice skating, tubing, fireworks, and a torchlight parade all precursing this main concert event to ring in the new year.  The show is $20 in advance or $25 at the door if still available.

 

January is action packed too, with the Kyle Hollingsworth Band headlining Warren Station on January 12, kicking off the Martin Luther King Holiday 3-day weekend.  Kyle is best known as the keyboardist in the long-time Colorado-created band, The String Cheese Incident, whose roots are deep from the mountain town of Crested Butte, Colorado. Hollingsworth brings a great live energy to the stage and plays a mix of original songs, String Cheese music, as well as cover songs.  Your feet will move as soon as he hits the stage!  Get tickets in advance here for just $18.  

 

The following week, The Motet brings their soul funk tunes to Keystone on January 19, for the 5th year in a row! This show tends to sell out every year and the people just can’t get enough of the rhythmic funk tunes from this fun band. Get your tickets now before this show sells out!

Both nights Keller will be performing solo sets, in addition to some fun jam sessions with various guest musicians.  Friday night features Keller with Andy Thorn of Leftover Salmon and both Andy Hall and Andy Falco from the Infamous Stringdusters.  On Saturday night, December 20th  Keller will return to the stage with his fellow compadres and former WMDS Keith Moseley, Gibb Droll and Jeff Sipe.

Doors will open at 8 pm on both evenings with the music kicking off at 9 pm.  Drinks will be available for purchase.   Advanced ticket sales are available online for $30 per night or get a two-day pass for both nights for $55.  Purchase tickets for the event here.
