Thanksgiving Storm Drops 16 Inches at Keystone Resort

We were all thankful for the holiday storm that brought 16 inches of new snow to Keystone over the past Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend.  Holiday visitors were pleasantly surprised with the fresh snow and new terrain openings over the weekend.  Night skiing also kicked off last week, and is open on weekends through 12/20. From 12/21 - 1/6 night skiing will be open every evening until 8pm for the holiday season.  Night skiing continues through March, open late on Wednesdays through Sundays and then will extend again to be every night of the week during Spring Break dates from 3/6 - 3/24. Skier Walking in Keystone Village The snow started on Thursday evening, around 8pm and it really didn't stop snowing until late evening on Saturday.  There are now 12 out of 20 lifts open and 33% of terrain is open for skiing and riding, with 43 trails including terrain on all 3 peaks at Keystone - Dercum Mountain, North Peak and The Outback. The Lakeside Village Ice Skating Rink also opened over the holiday weekend and that means both ice rinks at Keystone Resort are available for practicing your triple axles!   On Saturday, visitors celebrated with the annual tree lighting in River Run and Welcome Winter Family Carnival. The hot chocolate and cookies tasted so much sweeter with snowflakes falling and the kids were able to see Santa and tell him what they wanted for Christmas! Free cookies at Keystone Resort   These are some of the best early season snow conditions we have seen in Summit County in awhile! Come up to Keystone and stay before December 20th and you can save 20% on Keystone Ski Lodging with our Cyber Week Sale.  Hurry though, Cyber Week ends this Wednesday!
