Keystone offers winter and summer activities including skiing, snowboarding, sledding hill, ice skating, snowshoeing, snowmobile riding, Snow Cat skiing, golfing, swimming, hiking, downhill and cross country mountain biking, gondola rides, festivals, and dining to name just a few.

Summer Activities


Try out Loveland Pass, Hoosier Pass near Breckenridge, the Colorado Trail, Mohawk Lakes, and Sapphire Point at Swan Mountain. Look for wildflowers during your hikes in their full bloom in July!

Farmer’s Markets
Get some of that local mountain town feel and enjoy fresh produce, art, food, and handmade goods! Friday Mornings in Dillon, Sundays in Breckenridge and Vail.

Horseback Riding
Keystone Stables provide a number of different trail rides within walking distance of many condos! Or enjoy a family chuck-wagon dinner, complete with dinner and live entertainment with Two Below Zero. 

Scenic Gondola Rides
Gondola Rides in Keystone take you up Dercum Mountain for some spectacular views! Head to the top for photos, hiking, yard games, lunch or just to relax and enjoy the view! 

There is a paved trail from Keystone to Breckenridge all the way around Lake Dillon. Off-Road trails are found all around Keystone and the surrounding valley. Keystone has one of the best downhill mountain bike parks in the country! Most of the major resorts nearby offer ski lifts up for you and your bike so that you can ride back down the mountain. Try Lake Dillon Marina, the Snake River, or many other smaller lakes and streams in the area. Keystone Lake is a great place for kids to practice!

Off Roading 4×4
There are tons of great roads near Keystone for off-roading, ATV-ing and four-wheeling. Some local favorites are near the town of Montezuma in the Peru Creek area, about 10 minutes from Keystone.

White Water River Rafting
Go White Water Rafting in Colorado! One of the best areas for rafting in the country, there are six rivers nearby to raft! Checkout the Dillon or Frisco Marinas to get out on the water and go sailing on the Dillon Reservoir.

Paddle Boating, SUP & Kayaking
Keystone Adventure Center at Lakeside Village rents out all sorts of boats and boards for use at the beautiful Keystone Lake in Lakeside Village. The Dillon and Frisco Marina also rents kayaks and stand-up paddle boards for use on Lake Dillon.

Play at one of two golf courses at Keystone Resort: Keystone Ranch or the Keystone River Courses. You can also checkout the nearby Raven Golf Course in Silverthorne during your visit!

Elevation Bowl in Dillon features all sorts of fun with bowling, shuffle board, pool tables and more. 

Axe Throwing
Checkout Thrashin' Axes in Frisco for a fun indoor activity at any time of the year.  It's also great for groups, birthday parties and more! 

Zip Lining
Top of the Rockies Zip Lining is so much fun for a fast paced adventure activity.

Cross Country Skiing

The Keystone Nordic Center offers some great groomed trails and equipment rentals to enjoy cross country skiing while you are visiting Keystone.

Skiing & Snowboarding

Keystone, A-Basin, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Vail are all popular Summit County ski areas.


Silverthorne Factory Outlet Stores and the River Run Village Shops are great places to shop during your vacation at Keystone Ski Resort.

Sleigh Rides

Try the Dinner & Sleigh Ride with Two Below Zero out of Frisco or head to the Keystone Stables.

Snow Tubing

Located on top of Dercum Mountain. Your gondola ride is included with your ticket, & don’t forget to visit the Snow Fort while you’re there!

Ice Skating

Keystone is home to 2 outdoor rinks at Dercum Square in River Run and one in Keystone’s Lakeside Village.

Other Areas of Interest

Arapahoe Basin

Only 8 miles away from Keystone, take a right on Hwy 6 to get to A-Basin. Pass through Keystone and up the hill towards Loveland Pass. Arapahoe Basin will be on the right in 4 miles. A-Basin offers mostly winter activities. Being the highest in altitude of all Colorado resorts, they have the ability to stay open later in the year than any other ski resort. Depending on snowfall amounts, they’ve been known to close in July and reopen in October! Arapahoe Basin offers excellent advanced skiing and smaller crowds than bigger resorts.


Only 13 miles away from Keystone, Breckenridge Resort is another popular Colorado destination. Go to Swan Mountain Road and turn left. The road will wind it’s way over Swan Mountain, and intersect Hwy 9. Turn left onto Hwy 9 and head into town. Breckenridge offers both summer and winter activities that include skiing, snowboarding, sledding hill, ice skating, snowshoeing, snowmobile riding, Snow Cat skiing, golfing, swimming, hiking, downhill and cross country mountain biking, gondola rides, festivals, and dining. There are festivals and events scheduled for many weekends in the summer and winter months.

Copper Mountain

Only 15 Miles away from Keystone, you’ll find Copper Mountain Resort. To get there, take a left on Hwy 6. From Dillon, go Westbound on I-70. Copper Mountain will be on the left of the the highway. Offerings in this area include skiing, snowboarding, sledding, ice skating, snowshoeing, snowmobile riding, hiking, downhill and cross country mountain biking, gondola rides, and a variety of festivals. Try out the paved bike trail that goes to the top of Vail Pass.

Loveland Pass / Ski Area

Only 15 miles away from Keystone, take a right on Highway 6. Head up the hill toward Loveland Pass. Loveland Ski area is located at the base of Loveland Pass, at the East Portal of the Eisenhower Tunnel. While more popular for winter activities, but you can take advantage of hiking with great views and wildflowers in the summer!


Vail is only 35 Miles away from Keystone. Just past Copper Mountain, take Vail Pass and enjoy the sights and fresh alpine air. In the winter, enjoy skiing and riding, as well as snowshoeing and snowmobiling, and in the summer, take advantage of the fresh air for hiking, biking and more!
