Golfing and Golf Courses in Keystone
Keystone is home to not one, but TWO amazing golf courses, just a few miles apart in the rolling hills of Keystone Resort. The Keystone Ranch and Keystone River Courses both offer spectacular views, beautifully manicured courses and amazing Rocky Mountain golf, you’ll love to tee off at Keystone Resort. Keystone Resort offers golfers an experience they won’t have anywhere else. Watch how far your balls soar at altitude and enjoy the majestic mountain scenery and solitude while playing on either of two world-renowned courses. Remember that both courses require a collared shirt and non-metal spiked shoes. Don’t forget to bring a hat, gloves, and extra layers in case the weather changes (as it often does!) and as always layer on the sunscreen, Colorado gets 300 days of sunshine a year!
The Keystone River Course is located in the West Keystone area, amidst the twists and turns of the bubbly Snake River. This par-71, 18-hole course offers golfers a challenge with substantial elevation changes, water features, trees and five sets of tees on each hole in order to offer a challenge to golfers of all abilities. This course offers beautiful views of Lake Dillon, mountain peaks, the Snake River, and plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities, hence the name of the nearby road, ‘Elk Run’. The total yardage of this course is 4,762 – 6,886. The River Course clubhouse includes both a golf shop and The Grill, which serves up breakfast, lunch and après-golf with happy hour served out on the sunny patio. The River Course also houses a practice facility, access is included with your golf fees. Stay at The Pines for golf course views!
The Keystone Ranch Golf Course is a par-72 course that steers you through 18 holes, past tall Lodge-pole pines and around a small lake, secluded in the peaceful Keystone Ranch area. The total yardage of the course is 5,582 – 7,090. The Keystone Ranch clubhouse has locker rooms available for players and a fully-stocked golf shop that sells gear, apparel, accessories, and don’t forget the sunscreen! The area is also home to the Keystone Ranch Restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks and beverages every day during the golf season. In the evenings the restaurant serves up fine-dining and includes dishes like wild game and other Colorado Specialties, rated one of the best in Colorado. The restaurant offers some of the best views around on the deck which overlooks the back nine of the course. There is also a practice facility which includes a putting green, practice bunker and a driving range, and all the practice balls you want are included in your fee to take advantage of.
