Keystone Resort Could Add Summer Activities if Recreation Bill Passes!

Visitors to Keystone Resort may be interested to learn that the Ski Area Recreational Opportunity Enhancement Act was approved by the U.S. Senate on a unanimous vote earlier this week.  This recreation bill is meant to help create jobs by making it easier for ski areas to expand year-round recreation opportunities.  The type of recreational and adventure opportunities that are expected include zip lines, mountain biking and rope courses.  It will not include things along the lines of amusement or water parks.   As ski areas formulate their ideas for additional recreational opportunities, they will have to include anything new in their master plan for review and approval by the U.S. Forest Service.
SummitCove will keep you up to date on the progress of the Ski Area Recreational Opportunity Enhancement Act.  If you are currently in the process of planning your Colorado mountain vacation, let SummitCove help!  Our vacation planners are standing by with information about all of Summit County's many activities and our premier Keystone lodging!
