Big Snow Storm Makes Its Way to Colorado In Time For Holiday Weekend

Get Ready for Powder! A Massive Snowstorm is Headed for Keystone This President's Day Weekend!

Hey there, fellow snow enthusiasts! If you're planning a trip to Keystone Resort this President's Day weekend (February 13-17, 2025), you're in for a treat! Mother Nature is about to gift us with a significant snowstorm, promising epic powder days and unforgettable riding conditions.

What to Expect

  • Heavy Snowfall: Forecasters are predicting a substantial amount of snow, with estimates ranging from 1 to 2 feet in the higher elevations. This means fresh tracks galore and deep powder turns for those willing to brave the elements.
  • Cold Temperatures: Along with the snow, expect temperatures to drop, creating that perfect winter wonderland vibe. Be sure to pack your warmest layers and get ready to bundle up!
  • Potential Travel Impacts: With heavy snowfall, there's a possibility of travel delays, especially on I-70. If you're driving, check road conditions and plan accordingly. Consider arriving early or staying an extra day to avoid the worst of the traffic.

Keystone Resort Highlights

  • World-Class Terrain: Keystone boasts over 3,000 acres of skiable terrain, offering something for everyone from beginners to seasoned experts. With the upcoming snowfall, expect pristine conditions across the mountain. Head to the Outback to explore powder turns and tree runs, or explore the new Bergman Bowl area for wide-open powder fields.
  • Night Skiing: Take advantage of Keystone's night skiing and carve some turns under the stars and snow. The freshly fallen snow will make for an extra magical experience. Night skiing will be open on Friday, Saturday AND Sunday this weekend out of the River Run base area until 7pm!
  • Après-Ski Fun: After a day on the slopes, warm up and relax in one of Keystone's many restaurants and bars. Enjoy delicious food, craft beers, and cozy fireplaces as you watch the snow pile up.

Tips for Your Trip

  • Stay an Extra Night: President's Day weekend is a popular time to visit Keystone, so there will be traffic.  If your schedule is flexible, we suggest staying an additional night and driving back on Tuesday morning instead of fighting the traffic on Monday.
  • Pack for Winter Weather: Bring plenty of warm layers, including a waterproof jacket, insulated pants, gloves, and a hat. Don't forget sunscreen and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun and snow glare.
  • Check the Forecast: Stay updated on the latest weather forecasts and trail conditions by visiting the Keystone Resort website or checking a reliable weather app, such as OpenSnow Keystone.
  • Embrace the Adventure: Most importantly, embrace the adventure and get ready to make some unforgettable memories in the snow!

Don't Miss Out!

This President's Day weekend is shaping up to be one of the best of the season at Keystone Resort. With a major snowstorm in the forecast, you won't want to miss out on the incredible powder conditions and excited atmosphere.
