Bike Tours & Cycling In and Around Keystone
Colorado is a state that embraces cycling and bike tours, with cyclists coming from all around the world to experience cycling in Colorado. Maybe it's because of the scenery surrounding you throughout your rides that are some of the most stunning that you'll ever see. There are many different rides and bike tours that you can take while staying in Keystone during your vacation. Here are a few that could be just what you're looking for. Mountain View Sports http://www.mountainviewsports.com/vail_pass_shuttle.php in Keystone Colorado, offers three different Vail Pass bike tours with one that is sure to fit your ability. Pioneer Sports http://www.pioneersportscolorado.com/ located in Frisco at the start of all the Summit County bike paths, also has bike rentals seven days a week, for either an hour, day, or by the week. Pioneer Sports also offers a free Vail Pass shuttle as well for cyclists. You can start in Vail after taking the shuttle, and enjoy the cruising, coasting ride back down to Frisco. A great activity the whole family will enjoy. A few classic bike rides to enjoy while you're in the Keystone Colorado area are the Frisco to Breckenridge paved bike path; the Frisco to Keystone paved bike trail that takes you around Lake Dillon and along the Snake River to Keystone Village; the Lake Loop that is a perfect ride around Lake Dillon with one start and end point. If you're looking for even longer road rides, a few to try are the Breckenridge to Hoosier Pass 11 mile ride, the Copper Mountain to Leadville, 25 mile ride, the Keystone to Loveland Pass ride up to 11,990 feet elevation, and finally the Silverthorne to Ute Pass ride that will take you by the Henderson Mine and to the top of Ute Pass. There is definitely not a shortage of great cycling in the Summit County area of Colorado. Cycling is a terrific way to enjoy the Colorado Rocky Mountain scenery, peaks, wildflowers, and wildlife, with the whole family.
