Breakfast & Bloodies at Haywood Cafe

Everyone in the world needs to try the cheesy grits at the Haywood Cafe in Keystone, Colorado! I don't even like grits, but the Haywood has changed that for me. There is nothing like a side of hot, buttery, cheesy grits with your eggs benedict on a cold snowy morning before you head to the slopes! We love to stay at Gateway Lodge because of the location and  the Haywood Cafe being on site. We always stay with SummitCove Lodging and they have a coupon in their Key to Keystone coupon book good for a free Bacon Bloody Mary with your meal at the Haywood. That is how we discovered the cheesy grits years ago and we have been frequent flyers ever since. We have had many meals at the Haywood (and many Bloody Mary's) and have explored their menu. Some of our favorite dishes are the Dog Bowl or the Woods Rancheros both served with the homemade chili verde. Our kids' favorite meals are the Classic Benedict and the Haywood's original Swiss Baked Eggs. All the food at the Haywood is prepared fresh and the servers are friendly. When they see me coming they just pour a hot cup of cheesy grits and serve it to me with no words spoken. That's some awesome customer service to go with their great food! We will always be regulars at the Haywood!
