On June 17th, The Keystone Resort Super D Series will kick off, and it's a great event to check out when you are in Keystone. For those who aren't familiar, the Super D race is essentially a downhill mountain biking cross country race. It is a timed event and it's a great place to start for anyone who is considering getting into racing. There isn't a whole lot of climbing so folks with all levels of experience and athleticism can try this! Any bike will do for a Super D race, but this category of racing is where the all-mountain/trail bikes with 4, 5, and 6 inches of travel can really excel
There are 4 dates on Friday evenings including June 17th, July 15th, July 29th and August 12th. Points will be calculated throughout the series to determine overall standings in each category. The Super D Series points will be combined with Summit Mountain Challenge Series points to determine an Overall All-round Best Rider in Summit County! Keystone Resort has made a special competitor Lift Haul ticket available for only $15. Season Passes and other package deals are also available.
Looking for more to do on your Friday nights? The fun of Friday Afternoon Club continues into the summer with FREE gondola rides from 3pm - 7pm every Friday from June 17-September 2. Enjoy live music while taking in the scenery from the deck of the Summit House. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from our outdoor grill and BBQ.
