Dinner Sleigh Rides at Keystone Resort

Of the many dining options that Keystone has to offer, my personal all time favorite is the Dinner Sleigh Ride. Whether you're here on a family vacation or for a romantic weekend getaway this is a dining experience that you won't forget.   The trip starts out with a short bus ride from the Lakeside Village to the Keystone Stables, where you are guided onto a horse drawn sleigh that seats upwards of 20 people. You're given thick blankets to bundle up in before you start your journey into Keystone Ranch. During the approximately 20 minute ride, your guide talks about the history of the area, and the origins of the 19th century building you'11 be dining in. When you arrive to the homestead, you're ushered into a cozy cabin where biscuits and soup are waiting for you. Throughout the evening, you are served a timely 3 course dinner and adult beverages if you so choose, while a local guitarist entertains. As the evening wraps up, you have the opportunity to visit with the horses and your guide.   After about two hours, they gather everyone back to the horses and begin the ride back. On a clear night, you'll be treated to a magnificent view of the night ski. The Dinner Sleigh Ride requires reservations, and it is highly recommended that they be made as early as possible, as they fill up quickly. They offer four different entree options, one of which is vegetarian and they are able to accommodate most dietary needs. The sleigh runs every day except Wednesdays, when the horses get a break. Call 970-496-4FUN to make a reservation.  This is a fun thing to try at least once while you are visiting Keystone!
