After reading about the avalanches on the highways in Colorado we decided to take a shuttle from the airport to Keystone but I was concerned about getting groceries without a car. We booked a condo in River Run Village with SummitCove Lodging. It was beautiful, had spectacular views and was so clean! Arapahoe Lodge 8119, is located in River Run Village Condos and we wanted to stay in the main Village since we did not have a car with us. As I said, I was worried about getting groceries, however I had no need to worry because on the main floor of Arapaho Lodge was Rockin’ R Ranch Grocery and Liquor Store. This store was a saving grace and had everything from eggs, to frozen pizzas. They also had fresh produce and toiletries. Attached is also liquor store. The wine selection was wonderful and they also had several Colorado craft beers and liquor options. Rockin’ R Ranch also had a cute selection of Keystone souvenirs and I bought some stickers and Christmas ornaments. It really was a one stop shop for all our food and beverage needs, so we never had to leave River Run Village!
Another cute shop in River Run Village is the Kidz Cabin. It is nearby Rockin’ R Ranch and has adorable kids clothes, toys and games. I bought my baby niece the cutest polar bear jammies and my nephew will be rocking a Keystone, CO moose vest! I also picked up some children’s books for them and the illustrations of woodland creatures, wild flowers, rivers and snowy mountains are amazing. I can’t wait to show the beauty of Colorado through these books to my niece and nephew. I hope to spark the love to travel and bring them to Keystone some day. I would just need a bigger condo from SummitCove Lodging but other than that I would want to stay in River Run Village again for the convenience and shops!
