Keystone to Host the Ascent and Enduro Bicycle Events for Summer 2012!

Keystone Resort is hosting a series of bike races over the summer including the Ascent Series and the Enduro Series that will be of interest to cycling enthusiasts.  The series will take place from June through August, so be sure to include these exciting events in your Keystone vacation plans!  Here is a look at the event dates and key event information:

Keystone Ascent Series

This race series is uphill and against the clock.  Winning depends upon the strength and endurance of the rider only.  Starting times are at equal intervals, usually one or two minutes apart.  The rider with the fasted time will be named the winner.

Friday, June 15 at 7pm

Friday, July 20 at 7pm

Friday, August 17 at 7pm

Lift tickets are required at the start of all races at $16 for a single haul ticket and $20 for an all day ticket.  Competitor rates are only available with a numbered bike plate, which will be distributed at check in.

Entry Fees: $15 per race or $38.25 for the Series

Keystone Enduro Series

This race series is a relatively new format with inspiration from some interesting places: car rally and motorbike enduro racing!  The competitve side of mountain biking comes out in this race, which is often called "All-Mountain".  This race is considered to be a true test of the best all around mountain biker.
