Keystone Weekend Dump Brought 23 Inches of Snow & New Terrain

Christmas came early this December with an epic snowstorm over the weekend, from December 13 - 15, 2019, 23 inches of snow piled up over the 3 days and bringing the December snow total to 42 inches so far! With all of the new snow, tons of new terrain opened up! On Dercum Peak, Frenchman, Ida Belle and Gassy Thompson are now open for skiing and riding.  Head back to North Peak to experience runs on Starfire, Ambush, Powder Cap, Bullet, Bullet Glades, Cat Dancer, Cat South Glades and Geronimo.  Finally way back on The Outback, Lower South Bowl (below the saddle gate), Wolverine, Wildfire, Pika Glades, Wildcat, Oh Bob, and Lodge Pole all opened over the weekend, just in time for the holidays! Keystone now has over 1,100 acres and over 60 trails open to enjoy! Night skiing is now also open daily for the holidays through January 5, 2020, with the River Run Gondola & Peru Express lifts open until 8pm.   There have been lots of other big openings including the Kidtopia Snow Fort at the top of Dercum Mountain and the Lakeside Village Ice Rink! This Saturday, December 21 is the Kidtopia Mountaintop Spectacular, just following the Ripperoo Parade, head up the gondola for the lighting of the Snow Fort at 4:30 pm. Then celebrate with entertainers, take fireside photos with Santa and enjoy deals on pizzas at Summit House. Don't forget to step outside for the two sets of fireworks, happening above the snow fort at 6 pm and the regular Saturday night fireworks at 7 pm.  You can also visit the Chocolate Village at the Keystone Lodge and Spa in the lobby, open 24 hours a day!  Santa will be here too, with multiple visits through Christmas Eve.   The mountain and holiday activities are in full force here at Keystone Ski Resort!
