Memorial Day in Keystone and Arapahoe Basin: Fishing Derby, Adventure Center and Festival of Brewpubs!

If you are looking for a last minute weekend getaway to celebrate Memorial Day weekend, you may want to head to Summit County for some fun events in Keystone and the Festival of Brewpubs at Arapahoe Basin! Friday, May 25th will kick off the weekend with the Adventure Center opening.  Rent a paddleboat for a tour of Keystone Lake.  Take a canoe or Kayak for a day in the sun.  Stop by to see "Mother Goose" at the entrance to the Center.  Here eggs are due to hatch any day! The 11th Annual Festival of Brewpubs takes place at Arapahoe Basin on Sunday, May 27th from noon to 4pm.  Why not spend the day sampling mugs of beer from Colorado's famed brewpubs.  Participating breweries include Breckenridge, Pug Ryan's, Dillon Dam, Backcountry, and much more.  A 14oz mug is just $25, with no other costs on beer samples.  Obviously, this is a 21 and older event, so bring your ID or you will not be able to purchase a mug.  While you're there, enjoy live music in the base area for free from 1-4, and food will be available including sliders, chili, soft pretzels, and sides.  The Front Range Ski Bus will offer a 2 for 1 rate so that you don't even have to worry about driving! Monday, May 28th, try the free Fishing Derby for kids aged 13 and under. Bring your entire family where you will win raffle prizes, BBQ and live music.  Fishing gear is not supplied, so bring your own tackle and fishing gear! Join us in Summit County, and call us today for information about weekend lodging specials!
