Ski School for Next Year!

Master the Mountain: Your Guide to Keystone’s Ski & Ride School

Whether it’s your first time clicking into bindings or you're looking to conquer the steeps of the Outback, Keystone’s Ski & Ride School is world-class. With two convenient base areas at River Run and Mountain House, getting your family on the snow has never been easier.

Plus, if you’re planning a longer stay, there is an incredible deal to help you save on lessons: Book Multiple Lesson Days in a Row and Save! You can save 20% on your third day of Child Group Lessons and your second day of Adult Group Lessons—and every consecutive day after.

Here’s a breakdown of the different ways you and your crew can level up this winter:

1. Child Group Lessons (Ages 3-14)

Keystone is famous for being family-friendly, and the kids' programs are the heart of that reputation.

  • The Experience: Kids are grouped by age and ability level. Beginners enjoy the "magic carpet" areas, while more advanced kids explore Ripperoo’s Forest, a kid-exclusive adventure zone with tunnels and bridges.

  • Full Day vs. Half Day: Full-day lessons include lunch, making it a seamless experience for parents to get their own turns in.

  • The Deal: Save 20% on your child’s 3rd consecutive day of group lessons and beyond!

2. Adult Group Lessons (Ages 15+)

It's never too late to learn or refine your technique. Choose from skiing or snowboarding, half day (2.5 hours) or full day (6 hours) group or private lessons.

  • Beginner: Focus on the fundamentals of stopping, turning, and safely riding the lift.

  • Intermediate/Advanced: Perfect for getting comfortable on blue runs or learning how to navigate moguls and trees with a pro.

  • The Deal: Save 20% on your 2nd consecutive day of adult group lessons and every day after!

3. Family Private Lessons

Want to stick together? Private lessons aren't just for individuals; they are a great way for the whole family to learn at their own pace and can include most ages (3+). Half day is 3 hours and a full day is 6.5 hours.

  • Custom Experience: You get a dedicated pro who tailors the day to your specific goals. You can include up to 6 people (family or friends) of any age in one lesson.

  • Fast Track: Private lessons often include "front of the line" lift access, meaning more time skiing and less time waiting.

4. Specialized Programs

  • All-Terrain Program (ATP): For kids ages 7-14 who are already intermediate to advanced. This is less like a traditional lesson and more like a mountain-wide adventure challenge.

  • Adaptive Programs: Partnering with the Keystone Adaptive Center, the resort offers specialized instruction and equipment for individuals with disabilities, ensuring the mountains are accessible to everyone.
