Squeeze the Most Out of Summer

Summer is starting to wind down and soon cooler fall temperatures will start creeping in. Your kids may be heading back to school soon.  Head up to the mountains soon for a fun adventure! Here are some fresh ideas for some fun ways to squeeze the most out of your summer vacation in Keystone, CO.   Hop on the Gondola Of course a classic mountain experience needs to include heading up the ski slopes and catching the view from the top! The River Run Gondola is running Thursday - Sundays this summer.  Purchase a ticket and hop on! Enjoy views and hiking at the top, along with to-go food if you are hungry!   Catch a Sunrise Plan an early morning hike to a high peak to catch an incredible high altitude sunrise.  You'll be in awe as you watch the colored sky light up the surrounding mountain peaks! Bonus when you leave early, you don't have to worry about running into afternoon rain storms. Quandary Peak, Mount Royal and Ptarmigan Trails all offer those 'high views' to best enjoy the alpenglow.   Explore the Islands Head out to Lake Dillon on stand-up paddleboards and explore the many islands and shorelines. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy some time on the beach!  Rentals are available if you need a board or kayak. After you're done exploring, head to the Tiki Bar or Island Grill for a beverage with a view!   Bike on the Dirt or Pavement Summit County is known for its endless miles of trails, whether you want to head for the dirt on a mountain bike or take to the pavement on the county-wide bike path.  Better yet, forget the pedaling and book a 'Ride the Pass' trip with Mountain View Sports.  They will shuttle you to the top of Vail Pass for an unforgettable scenic ride all the way down.  No uphill pedaling required, which makes it a great activity for groups of all ages and abilities! Mountain Biker Having Fun On Dirt Trail Keystone CO Get Out on the Golf Course Keystone's River Course is one of the most beautiful courses around, snaking between the mountains and running along the Snake River, with views of the Continental Divide and 10 Mile Range capping each end and millions of wildflowers in between. You can even sign up for a lesson if your golf game is rusty... or non-existent!   BBQ & Yard Games Nothing says summer fun like a sizzling grill, a cold beverage and a friendly game of cornhole, Kanjam or ladder golf.  Stay a private mountain cabin with a perfect backyard like Keystone Gulch Estate, or a condo at Flying Dutchman, which is known for its large sprawling summer green lawns!  Throw on the burgers, prepare a salad and let the games begin!   Don't let the summer season slip you by!  We have over 300 Keystone vacation rental properties to choose from for your Keystone getaway.
