We are wrapping up another big weekend here in Summit County! In case you missed the festivities here are some of the details! The Double Triple Bypass Bike Race has been riding in front of our office for the last 2 days. Hundreds of cyclists took part in this year's event which as always has seen the ride start in Evergreen, go up and over Squaw pass, down to Idaho Springs, up the frontage road through Georgetown to Bakerville, over Loveland pass, right in front of our office and continue up over Vail pass to finish the ride in Eagle County. This year for the second time, some participants went both ways conquering the Double Triple Bypass in which on Saturday they went up the original route, and Sunday they rode it backwards from Vail to finish in Evergreen.

The Keystone Wine and Jazz festival wrapped up this weekend as well. Dozens of Jazz musicians participated in the festival, and hundreds of brands and styles of wine were tasted, critiqued, and enjoyed in River Run Village. The rain came hard on Saturday, but it did not dissuade anyone from having a bad time! The festival is still going on today until 5pm, so if you are in Keystone, be sure to stop by the village for a glass of wine and catch a free jazz concert! This weekend also featured the Breckenridge Beer Festival on Saturday the 14th as Musketeer Gripweed performed to a huge crowd of event goers to experience one of the biggest beer festivals in the state.

Don't miss out on your chance to participate in another great beer festival this summer, as the Bluegrass and Beer Festival returns to Keystone's River Run August 4th and 5th with great bands, fun and of course Beer! This is the most popular Keystone Festival and it's sure to sell out. The weekend features music from some great bands including Head for the Hills, Oakhurst, and The Farewell Drifters, just to name a few, along with over 30 breweries from Colorado and beyond.

If you aren't into the whole beer and music thing, and cycling is more your style, there is still time to register for the Copper Triangle, another Great Alpine classic ride. Ride from Copper mountain over Fremont Pass into Leadville, over Tennessee Pass to Minturn, and back over Vail pass to end the race at Copper Mountain. This is also your opportunity to ride with SummitCove.com staff member Wren Arbuthnot, as he will be participating in the race this year!

If you weren't able to make it to Summit County this weekend, or just can't wait to come back for more, there are still some great festivals scheduled this summer in Keystone, including the Bluegrass and Beer Festival, A Taste of Keystone, and multiple free River Run Rocks! concerts.   Keystone is the perfect weekend escape to beat the hot summer heat in Denver!
