There's so much to do at Keystone during your winter vacation! Check out these 5 activities to try out on your next visit to the Colorado Rockies in Keystone. 1. Ice Skating Keystone is home to the largest zamboni-maintained outdoor ice rink in North America! You and your kids will love skating under the stars or with a backdrop of mountain views at Keystone Lake.  Stay in a Lakeside Village condo to have a view that overlooks the lake and watch the skaters from your balcony! 2. Snowshoeing A fun activity good for all ages, snowshoeing allows you to get out on the trails and really explore nature.  There's nothing more peaceful than setting out on the trail with the snow covered trees all around you.  Pack a picnic lunch with a blanket for an amazing lunch out on the trail! 3. Downhill Tubing at the Keystone Nordic Center The Keystone Nordic Center offers all sorts of winter fun! In addition to nordic skiing and snowshoeing trails, there is also a downhill tubing hill here!  Be warned, you do have to hike back up, but as the saying goes... 'earn your turns!' Book your stay at Elk Run Villas in West Keystone and you'll have the Nordic Center at your doorstep! 4. Hot Cocoa by the Fire Make up a travel mug of hot chocolate and take a stroll through the village, with a stop at the fire pit along the way!  Enjoy the festive lights throughout the village and take in the mountain views, while you window shop and the snow falls. River Run Village is a pedestrian-only ski village that is perfect for strolling! 5. Visit the Ice Castles in Dillon Just a 10 minute drive from Keystone, the Ice Castles are a must see! There are only 4 locations in the US and one is right here in Colorado! The castles include amazing colorful lit sculptures, frozen thrones, tunnels, slides, fountains and much more!
