8 Things to Experience This Fall at Keystone

Every autumn, the hills of Keystone blaze in brilliant golds and oranges. Plan your fall getaway to Keystone and experience some of these must-do fall adventures during your visit!

1. Hike a Golden-Hued Trail

There are so many great trails to take in the incredible golden aspen trees! A few recommendations for viewing fall colors include the Ptarmigan Trail in Dillon, the Keystone Aqueduct Trail or Aspen Alley in Breckenridge.

2. TAKE IN A SUNSET OVER A WINE FLIGHT

If you're a wine lover, you've got to enjoy a flight and charcuterie board on the west-facing balcony for sunset at Saved By the Wine in Dillon.  Bonus: SummitCove guests receive a special savings in the Key to Keystone coupon book!

3. Cast a Line in the Snake River

Hook on a guided trip with a local outfitter or head out on your own and do some fall fly fishing! Cast for trout on the Snake River and enjoy a beautiful fall day out on the water.

4. Chuck-Wagon Dinners

Perfect for a family fun outing, reserve a chuck-wagon dinner experience to enjoy the fall colors and a delicious meal with live entertainment.  On the way back, you'll also get to see the stars!

5. Mountain Bike Aspen-Loaded Trails

Mountain bike some of the state’s best cross country trails in Keystone and Summit County — we like the fall color views from the Keystone Aqueduct Trail or checkout the Oro Grande Trail for aspen groves and sweeping views of Lake Dillon.

6. Hit the Links

Treat yourself to an autumn tour of colors at one of two (or both) golf courses at Keystone Resort. Visit the Keystone Ranch Golf Course for spectacular wide open views or the Keystone River Course winding and weaving along the Snake River. You’ll love the crisp air and how far your ball goes at this altitude!

7. Enjoy a Beer at a Local Brewery

There are so many amazing local breweries located in Keystone and throughout Summit County! First, be sure to stop by Steep Brewery, with 2 locations in Keystone and try their misty mountain morning coffee vanilla wheat, a combination of their two specialties: coffee and beer! Next, head to Dillon and beyond for nearby breweries such as Outer Range, Angry James, Pug Ryan’s, Highside or Broken Compass just to name a few!

8. Zip Line Above the Tree-tops

Sunny fall days are prime for a zip line tour with Top of the Rockies!  Take in the spectacular views as you get a rush of adrenaline flying high above the tree tops and at one point even going over a train!
